The following matches are advertised for the TNA Lockdown pay-per-view that will be held on Sunday, August 23, in Chicago, Illinois, at Credit Union 1 Arena.
-Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy vs. Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth in a steel cage match for the TNA Tag Team Titles
-Xia Brookside vs. Elayna Black in a steel cage match for the Knockouts Title
-Jason Hotch vs. Mustafa Ali in a steel cage match for the TNA International Championship
-Cedric Alexander vs. Leon Slater in a steel cage match for the X Division Title or Slater’s legacy
-Rosemary and Allie vs. M by Elegance and Heather by Elegance in a steel cage match for the Knockouts Tag Team Titles
-“The System” Eddie Edwards, Bear Bronson, Brian Myers, and Alisha Edwards vs. Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro, and Jada Stone in a Lethal Lockdown match
-AJ Francis vs. Elijah in a steel cage match
-Frankie Kazarian vs. Moose in an Escape The Cage rules match
Powell’s POV: Alexander said Slater’s record-tying title reign will be erased from the record books if he beats Slater. Um, okay. The pre-show starts at 4CT/5ET, and the main card starts at 5CT/6ET. The early lineup doesn’t do much for me, but I am planning to have a live review of the show. My same-night audio review will be available for Dot Net Members (including our Patreon patrons).
Not a fan of the all cage format. And similarly, the card doesn’t do much for me. Plus, TNA seems to be low on star power with the recent departures, especially Mike Santana/Cruz Montana.
