AAW Pro “The Bourbon Street Massacre”
October 23, 2026, in Merrionette Park, Illinois, at 115 Bourbon Street
Released temporarily on November 2, 2026 via YouTube.com

This show was released on Monday on the AAW YouTube channel. However, it will only be free through Saturday before it moves behind a paywall, so watch it now! This venue is a dark club, and the crowd was maybe 200, but it’s packed. Lighting here is merely okay; it’s certainly not ideal; the ringside cameras are better than the hard camera. A stage is up against one side of the ring; there are a handful of rows on the stage.

1. Rafael Quintero vs. Isaiah Moore for the AAW Heritage Title. This should be really good. They traded armdrags and quick reversals at the bell. They went for stereo dropkicks and had a standoff at 1:00; that’s a good way to start! They shook hands, but Moore kicked him in the gut. Quintero struck the top rope awkwardly but seems okay. He dove to the floor onto Moore and threw him back into the ring, where he hit a top-rope crossbody block for a nearfall. Moore hit a kip-up neckbreaker. He hit a nice twisting powerslam for a nearfall at 4:00.

Quintero hit a European Uppercut; Moore hit a dropkick. Quintero hit a running knee to the side of the head for a nearfall at 5:30. Moore hit a rolling DVD. Quintero hit a Frankensteiner, and they were both down. They got up and traded forearm strikes. Moore hit a superkick and a Pele Kick. Quintero hit a German Suplex. He hit a 21 Plex Powerbomb for a believable nearfall at 8:30. This might earn match of the night! Quintero fell off the top rope, and Moore tried a Shining Wizard, but Quintero ducked it. Quintero hit a frog splash for the pin. A lot to like here; a great start to the show.

Rafael Quintero defeated Isaiah Moore to retain the AAW Heritage Title at 9:36.

* Joey “Jet” Avalon spoke outside, noting he’s won his last two matches here in a combined total of five minutes! He’s battling through some injuries, but he only took off one week when the doctors told him to take six weeks to recuperate. “Tonight, nothing changes. I go 3-0, and the streak continues. Who wants to see a dead body?”

2. Joey “Jet” Avalon vs. Ryan Matthias. I’ll point out that the on-screen graphic now just reads “Avalon,” so maybe he’s shortened his name. I really like Ryan (who I’ve compared to a long-haired Peter Avalon!), but he’s giving up a lot of size and muscle mass. They tied up, and I’ll note that Avalon has a huge brace on his left shoulder. He hit a Russian leg sweep. He hit a twisting powerslam for a nearfall at 1:30. Ryan leapt off the top rope, but Avalon punched him in the gut. Ryan stomped on the left elbow, and he did a knee-drop on the elbow.

Matthias threw him shoulder-first into the corner and hit a 619 at 3:30. He continued to target Avalon’s damaged left arm, then hit a backbreaker over his knee for a nearfall. He switched to a cross-armbreaker. Avalon nailed a Mafia Kick. Matthias hit a pump kick. Avalon hit a Blue Thunder Bomb for a nearfall at 6:30. Matthias hit a top-rope elbow drop for a nearfall at 8:00, but Avalon grabbed the ropes. Avalon hit a Claymore Kick. Matthias got a Magistral Cradle and scored the flash pin! I liked that a lot.

Ryan Matthias defeated Avalon at 8:58.

* Richard Holliday spoke backstage. He wound up arguing with John E. Bravo. He came across Trey Miguel’s stuff, and he grabbed his shoes. Meanwhile, Shazza McKenzie snuck into the men’s bathroom and stole Bravo’s clothes while he was changing in a stall!

3. Richard Holliday vs. Trey Miguel. Holliday came out first, carrying the shoes he just swiped from Trey! Trey wore his Spider-Man gear; a massive pop for him! Holliday is bigger and pushed Trey into a corner. Cagematch.net indicates this is a first-time-ever meeting. Trey hit a dive through the ropes at 2:30. In the ring, Holliday dropped him with a hard back elbow. He stomped on Trey in the corner. Holliday hit a backbreaker over his knee at 4:30, and he tied up Trey in a top hammerlock on the mat.

Trey hit a German Suplex, and they were both down at 6:30. Trey hit an enzuigiri. Richard hit a backbreaker over his knee and a sit-out powerbomb for a nearfall at 8:00. Holliday hit a stunner. They traded rollups. Holliday grabbed the shoes, but he accidentally struck the ref with them! Trey hit a superkick, and he hit Richard across the forehead with the shoes! Trey got a nearfall at 10:00. The ref confiscated the shoes. Holliday hit a low-blow uppercut and the 2008 (twisting suplex) for the tainted pin. Good action.

Richard Holliday defeated Trey Miguel at 11:13.

* Sierra spoke outside, and she’s not impressed with Zoey Serrano. She’s not worried about her match tonight, because she’s wrestled the best and beaten the best!

4. Maggie Lee vs. Rory Shield for the AAW Women’s Title. Maggie took off her own shirt, threw it at Rory, and immediately punched her. Maggie, at 5’11”, is perhaps six inches taller. They brawled to the floor, and Maggie shoved her back-first into the ring frame. Back in the ring, Lee was in charge. Rory hit a springboard armdrag, then another. She hit a hair-mare faceplant for a nearfall at 2:00. Lee hit some shoulder thrusts to the ribs in the corner, then a Northern Lights suplex for a nearfall at 3:30. Maggie hit a dropkick against the ropes for a nearfall.

Lee hit some knee strikes to the ribs as Rory was down on all fours. Rory fired up and hit some flying forearms, then a fisherman’s suplex for a nearfall at 6:00. Lee nailed a running Claymore Kick for a believable nearfall. Rory applied a Kushida-style Hoverboard Lock! She switched to Muta Lock. Lee ran on the floor and hit a Driveby Kick and got a nearfall with her feet on the ropes at 8:30, but the ref saw it. Lee missed a Swanton Bomb, and Rory rolled her up for a nearfall. Maggie hit another running knee to the side of the head. They traded rollups, and Maggie hit a Tombstone Piledriver for the pin. Good action; the right person won.

Maggie Lee defeated Rory Shield to retain the AAW Women’s Title at 9:19.

* Zoey Serrano spoke outside. She’s also not concerned about facing Sierra.

5. Nate Kobain vs. Thomas Heim vs. Brendan Balling vs. Sean Logan vs. Chase Saint vs. Gringo Loco. I wrote their names in order of them coming to the ring. I don’t think I’ve seen “Twist and Flip” Kobain have a singles match, except when he faced his partner, Darren Fly! I recall Balling wrestled here last month; it was the first time I saw him. My first time seeing Saint; he reminds me a lot of Northeast indy standout Dustin Waller. Loco has undoubtedly had more matches than the other five combined! Heim shoved everyone, so of course they all attacked him at the bell.

Loco hit a handspring-back-elbow on Kobain, then a slingshot suplex, dropping Kobain gut-first. He hit a split-legged moonsault for a nearfall at 1:30, but Logan made the save. Logan hit some flying shoulder tackles on Loco. Heim hit a twisting neckbreaker on Loco for a nearfall at 3:30. Logan hit a Falcon Arrow on Heim for a nearfall. Chase Saint hit a Stomp on Logan. Balling hit a shotgun dropkick. Kobain hit a buzzsaw kick on Saint, then a dive to the floor at 5:30. Balling hit a Frankensteiner on Kobain.

They did a Tower of Doom out of the corner at 7:00, and everyone was down! Kobain hit a corner moonsault to the floor. In the ring, Logan hit a spinebuster on Saint. Balling hit a flip dive to the floor onto several guys at 8:30. Heim flipped Balling over the top rope onto several guys on the floor. Loco hit a top-rope Spanish Fly on Heim for a nearfall. Saint climbed to the top rope and battled Loco, but Gringo hit the Base Bomb (spinning powerbomb to the mat) to pin Saint. That was a lot of fun. I see a lot of promise in Balling, and this is only the second time I’ve seen him.

Gringo Loco defeated Nate Kobain, Thomas Heim, Brendan Balling, Sean Logan, and Chase Saint at 10:24.

6. Zoey Serrano vs. Sierra. Again, Sierra is a powerhouse with a build a lot like Dani Luna. Like the prior women’s match, Zoey threw her shirt at Sierra and attacked! Sierra slammed Zoey’s head into the top turnbuckles and hit some chops. They brawled to the floor. Zoey leaned her against the ring and hit some loud chops. In the ring, Zoey hit a flying clothesline for a nearfall at 3:00. She hit some loud overhand chops. Serrano dragged her to the mat and slowed Sierra down in a headlock.

Sierra hit a Meteora into the corner at 6:00. Zoey hit a running knee to the jaw, a superkick, and a German Suplex. Sierra blocked another running knee, and she hit a half-nelson suplex and a Shining Wizard for a nearfall. Sierra tied her in a rear-naked choke on the mat. They got up, and Zoey hit a superkick. She flipped Sierra and hit a knee strike to the jaw for the pin. A really strong back-and-forth match.

Zoey Serrano defeated Sierra at 8:03.

* Backstage, Joe Alonzo, Donovan Marcelous, and Joshua Bishop spoke about their match later. He vowed that they would all hold gold by the time the night is over!

7. Joe Alonzo (w/Donovan Marcelous) vs. Rich Swann for the AAW Heavyweight Title. It’s a crime to watch Swann’s long intro but not hear it. (Intro music muted for copyright reasons!) They locked up, but Joe rolled to the floor to regroup with Donovan. Back in the ring, they shoved each other. Joe hit some punches; Swann hit some chops, then a huracanrana. Donovan tripped Rich at 3:30 as Swann was setting up for a dive. However, the ref saw it, and he ejected Donovan! Swann hit a dive off the apron onto Donovan.

Joe slammed Swann back-first on the ring apron at 5:00. He worked Rich over in the ring, then threw him back to the floor at 6:30, and he whipped Swann into the guardrails. In the ring, he hit a backbreaker over his knee for a nearfall at 8:00. On the floor, Swann threw Joe repeatedly into the guardrails. In the ring, Swann hit a rolling kip-up clothesline and some jab punches at 9:30. He hit a splash to the mat for a nearfall. Swann went for a Lethal Injection, but Joe hit a Lungblower to the back at 11:00, and they were both down.

Joe hit his springboard axe handle (his finisher!), but Swann applied a Sharpshooter! Joe escaped. Swann accidentally struck the ref! Joe grabbed his title belt, swung, and missed. Swann hit a stunner, and he nailed the Lethal Injection at 13:30. Stevie, the annoying eight-year-old kid, hopped in the ring to block Swann from hitting a frog splash on Joe. The kid hit a low blow! Joe hit a Pedigree. Stevie woke the ref, who made the three-count.

Joe Alonzo defeated Rich Swann to retain the AAW Heavyweight Title at 14:16.

* Outside, Russ Jones found Schaff in a moving truck. Schaff was looking for weapons he could use in the street fight later!

* Davey Vega and John E. Bravo came to the ring and berated the crowd. Shazza McKenzie came out, holding Bravo’s clothes. However, J-Rod attacked Shazza from behind! Solomon Tupu, and Robert Anthony ran out for the save, and a six-person tag got underway!

8. Robert “Ego” Anthony, Solomon Tupu, and Shazza McKenzie vs. Amazonga, J-Rod, and Davey Vega (w/John E. Bravo). Tupu hit a senton on Vega. Amazonga hit a running body block on Tupu at 2:00. The heels worked over Tupu in their corner. J-Rod got him up, and she hit a Samoan Drop! Impressive power! She got a nearfall at 3:30. Amazonga hit a running splash in the corner. Tupu hit a Bulldog Powerslam on Vega, and they were both down. Shazza tagged in at 5:30 to face J-Rod, and Shazza hit a back suplex and a running knee in the corner.

Shazza hit a top-rope crossbody block. J-Rod hit a hard chop on Anthony, who seemed conflicted about striking her. Anthony and Tupu hit a team delayed vertical suplex on her at 7:30. Shazza climbed on top of them and hit a splash onto J-Rod. However, Amazonga flattened Shazza with a splash! Amazonga and Tupu charged at each other and hit some shoulder blocks. Amazonga missed a moonsault at 9:00. They both fought over the top rope to the floor. In the ring, Shazza rolled up J-Rod, but the ref was occupied with the guys on the floor. Bravo grabbed Shazza’s foot! J-Rod grabbed Shazza and hit a Samoan Drop for the tainted pin.

Amazonga, J-Rod, and Davey Vega defeated Robert “Ego” Anthony, Solomon Tupu, and Shazza McKenzie at 10:04.

9. “The Hellhounds” Russ Jones and Schaff vs. Donovan Marcelous and Josh Bishop in a street fight for the AAW Tag Team Titles. Donovan is so scrawny; I just don’t understand his push here. The champs came through the crowd, finally got in the ring, and immediately attacked the challengers. Schaff clotheslined Bishop to the floor. Schaff hit a chairshot to the head that Bishop partially blocked. Schaff hit a chair shot to the back. In the ring, the champs beat up scrawny Donovan. Schaff hit a powerslam at 1:30.

On the floor, Bishop grabbed a trash can, put it over Schaff’s head, and hit it with a crutch. Schaff hit Bishop repeatedly with a crutch. Donovan hit a flip dive off the top rope onto everyone at 3:30. Schaff whipped Donovan into the ring post. They all brawled on the floor. Schaff put Donovan face-down on the bar and slid him across the bar, striking some drinks. (Something I’ve really only seen in a movie!) Schaff hit a garbage can lid over Donovan’s head and threw him back into the ring at 8:00.

Schaff went for a cover, but Joe Alonzo got in the ring and struck him with his title belt. Joe hit Russ with his belt, and Bishop made a cover on Russ for a nearfall at 10:30. Donovan went to the top rope, but Rich Swann appeared. He chased Alonzo to the back. Bishop got up and hit punches on both tag champs. He picked up a door and hit them both at 12:30. Schaff hit a DVD on Bishop, slamming him through the door in the corner. Schaff hit a release powerbomb on Donovan, slamming him onto a different door in another corner for the pin!

“The Hellhounds” Russ Jones and Schaff defeated Donovan Marcelous and Josh Bishop in a street fight to retain the AAW Tag Team Titles at 13:32.

Final Thoughts: A really fun show and well worth checking out. Reminder, there is only a week to watch this for free. Yes, that Moore-Quintero opener earns best match. I’m not a big fan of Alonzo, but that match against Swann may be the best match I’ve seen from him, and that takes second. Holliday-Trey was really good for third. Serrano-Sierra was really good too for honorable mention.

The scramble was fun. As I noted, Balling has really dazzled in just a few times I’ve seen him. Kobain got a chance to show what he can do not in a tag match. The only new guy on the show for me (Chase Saint) didn’t do much to grab my attention, but he didn’t embarrass himself, either. Loco winning was obvious from the second he stepped through the curtain, though.

No, the main event isn’t in the upper half of the show for me. Whacking guys with weapons, back and forth, gets a bit dull for me. Donovan just has no business being in that spot. That said, the crowd loved it, and the big door spots at the end were a big crowd-pleaser. The positives by far outweigh the negatives here.
