Dreamwave Pro Wrestling “Trick or Treat”
October 10, 2026, in La Salle, Illinois, at Kaycee Club
Released October 12, 2026, on IndependentWrestling.TV

This was an outdoor show, outside the Knights of Columbus hall where they usually run. It was sunny with blue skies as the show began. The crowd was perhaps 300.

1. Rebecca J. Scott vs. Laynie Luck vs. B3cca vs. Tori Fox in a four-way for the Uprising Alternative Title. Fox has long, straight hair that is almost white; I saw her wrestle over Summer Slam weekend in Minneapolis. Everyone was dressed in costumes; Laynie has a bald cap on and is dressed as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. She had a beer in her hand and kicked Fox in the gut. She went for a Stunner, but it was blocked. So, Laynie hit a Thesz Press and some punches — while still holding onto her beer! B3cca — dressed as a sailor — took away the beer, and she hit a crossbody block at 1:30.

RJS hit a Meteora on Fox, then one on B3cca. Laynie dropped RJS throat-first on the top rope, then she stomped a mudhole on Scott and walked it dry! B3cca got a rollup on Fox for a nearfall at 3:00. RJS and Fox brawled. Laynie hit some short-arm clotheslines, but Fox hit a shotgun dropkick on her. Fox hit a stiff kick to the spine on Luck. The bald cap fell off! Laynie’s hair was everywhere now. RJS hit a clothesline on Fox, then one on B3cca. RJS got a Code Red on Laynie for a nearfall at 6:00. RJS applied a sleeper on B3cca. Brittnie Brooks skipped to the ring and distracted Scott! B3cca hit a top-rope crossbody block on Laynie.

RJS stomped B3cca. Laynie finally hit a Stunner on Fox, then a Stunner on RJS! Of course, she made all of Austin’s signature hand gestures (and not just the middle finger!) B3cca gave Laynie a beer, and they drank. B3cca didn’t seem to like it! Of course, Laynie kicked her in the gut and hit a Stunner. Laynie hit a spinebuster on Fox. However, B3cca grabbed Laynie and threw her to the parking lot! B3cca covered Fox for the pin. Meanwhile, Brooks was holding onto RJS so she couldn’t break up the pin! RJS lost her belt without factoring in the decision.

B3cca defeated Rebecca J. Scott, Laynie Luck, and Tori Fox in a four-way to win the Uprising Alternative Title at 8:40.

2. AMB vs. Kody Kaiser for the Dreamwave Alternative Title. Kody is a slimy preacher. The heel commentator said it’s great that Kody “has found God.” Kody ran around the ring, wearing a white suit. He had two minions who had offering plates. I’ve noted that AMB reminds me a lot of a shorter Callum Newman, with his short, jet-black hair. I’ve been really impressed with him. They argued, and Kaiser slapped him! We got the bell, and they traded standing switches.

AMB hit a dropkick and some deep armdrags. He went for a handspring-back-elbow, but the minions grabbed his wrists at 1:30. Kody hit a clothesline and took control. Kaiser stomped on him repeatedly in the corner, and the crowd rallied for AMB. He hit an Irish Whip at 3:30, then another. He hit a spin kick for a nearfall. AMB hit a flip dive to the parking lot onto the lackeys at 6:00. He went to the top rope, but a minion grabbed his ankle.

Kaiser hit the worst Crucifix Driver I’ve ever seen and got a nearfall at 7:30. That one needs some work! Kaiser applied a Cobra Clutch. AMB went for the handspring-back-elbow, but Kaiser caught him and slammed him to the mat for a nearfall at 9:30. One of the myrmidons distracted the ref on the apron. Kaiser swung a title belt and missed. AMB hit a Lethal Injection, then a 450 Splash for the pin. AMB is really talented; Kaiser needs some seasoning.

AMB defeated Kody Kaiser to retain the Dreamwave Alternative Title at 10:20.

* The next match was slated to be Airica Demia vs. Brittnie Brooks. Heel Brittnie is the best Brittnie. She came out first and jawed at the kids in the crowd. She cut a heel promo on the mic and made fun of Demia for being too scared to show up and face her. She said she must have the night off! NOPE! (Also, the sun has set, and it’s now a bit cloudy, but visibility is still great.)

3. Brittnie Brooks vs. Lillith Khan. I’ve seen the tall Khan just a few times; she is a big person, dressed as Batgirl tonight. A commentator said she’s 6’5″ — I don’t think that’s quite accurate, but she’s likely 6’2″! Khan offered a test of strength, but of course, Brooks couldn’t reach that high. Brittnie rolled to the parking lot to regroup and stall. Back in the ring, Khan hit a pump kick and a bodyslam, then a Hogan Legdrop for a nearfall at 2:00. She hit an overhand chop, and I don’t think Brooks had to do much selling to convince me that it hurt! Brooks hit a chop block to the back of the knee.

Brooks hit a clothesline as Khan was on one knee — they were almost the same height! Brooks stomped on Khan and kept her grounded. She tied the leg in the ropes. She hopped on Khan’s back and locked in a sleeper at 5:30. Khan got to her feet and ran back-first into the corner to escape. Khan nailed an Electric Chair drop, and they were both down. Khan hit some clotheslines and a Choke Bomb, then a Samoan Drop for a nearfall at 7:30.

Khan locked in a bear hug! Brooks screamed in pain. Brooks hit a Lungblower to the back and a tornado DDT. Brooks tried to put Khan across her shoulders, but Khan is far too big for that! Brooks tried a second-rope crossbody block, but Khan caught her and hit a Black Hole Slam for a nearfall at 10:00! Khan missed a move into the corner; Brooks immediately rolled her up, put her feet on the ropes for added leverage, and scored the tainted pin.

Brittnie Brooks defeated Lilith Khan at 10:39.

4. “Sidney Bakabella’s Halloween Ball Gauntlet Extravaganza.” I recall that last year, we had a bunch of goofball ex-WWE wrestlers in this match. Sidney came out first and explained the rules. This is no-DQ and falls count anywhere. There are 10 people in this match. He brought out his good friend, Baron Von Raschke! He’s 86! He came to the ring with the use of a cane. “This is wrestling royalty,” Bakabella said. Channing Thomas came out, so we’re starting with just Channing vs. Sidney. They got the crowd chanting “take it off” as they each removed their robes. (They really never got around to wrestling!)

Kody Lane was No. 3 at 2:30, and he jawed at a kid who touched him, making it clear he’s a heel. Kody hit a senton on Channing. Jordan Kross was No. 4; I’ve always said the scrawny kid has the look of a young Mike Bailey. Jordan hit a snap suplex. (No surprise we only have three in the ring; Sidney is stalling somewhere.) Right on cue, Sidney got in the ring, but Kody stole Sidney’s wig. A big kid named Xander Pride came to the ring as No. 5 at 6:30; he’s rotund and just BIG. He hit a double clothesline. Pride hit a rolling cannonball on Kross. Kody hit a senton on Pride. No eliminations yet.

Anna Ray was No. 6 (and our first woman in the match. She tried to tempt the men as she got in the ring. She hit some chops on Channing and a tornado DDT. Dan the Dad, carrying his trusty coffee cup, was No. 7 at 10:30. Dan flipped out Kross, but it doesn’t appear that this has Royal Rumble-style eliminations. Confusing! Lane stole Dan’s coffee and took a sip! Dan hit a hip-toss and reclaimed the cup. Sidney got back in, now in a new, darker wig, and he shoved Dan. Gaige Carter (formerly 12-Gaige) was No. 8 at 13:30. He hit a Blue Thunder Bomb on Kross.

The Mad Hatter joined as No. 9, and he had a grocery cart full of weapons. He threw a chair at Xander Pride at 16:30. Gross and unnecessary. I didn’t expect that here. Those two each grabbed weapons, and they hit each other with them. Channing hit a dive to the ground onto Kody. We learned that No. 10 was Baron Von Raschke! Baron (while standing on the pavement) applied a Claw on Sidney, who immediately quit at 20:30! Dan picked up Anna, but Anna’s legs struck the ref! She got a nearfall.

Dan removed his belt and was going to use it on Anna, but the ref stopped him, so Dan whipped the ref! Kross hit a superkick on Dan. Channing hit a piledriver on Kross at 22:00, but Jordan rolled to the ropes. Baron applied the Claw on Jordan, who also submitted! The match was stopped at this point, and they declared Baron the winner. A commentator said Baron hadn’t competed in a match since 1996! Baron walked over to Kody Lane and also put him in the Claw. Harmless fun; don’t sweat the rules, I guess.

Baron Von Raschke won the 10-person Sidney Bakabella Halloween Ball Gauntlet Extravaganza at 23:11.

* Connor Hopkins and Stephen Wolf came to the ring with their tag belts over their shoulders. Wolf recently announced he has a severe neck injury and is “taking time off” from wrestling. (He didn’t say the ‘retirement’ word.) The crowd clearly already knows this, as they chanted, “Thank you, Wolf!” Stephen fought back some tears and said, “It’s so much easier when you guys hate me.” He pointed out a few fans in the crowd who have been watching him wrestle for the past decade. He officially announced they were relinquishing the tag belts.

Hopkins got on the mic and said Wolf is “a failure!” He shouted at Wolf and said, “You are nothing to me anymore. You have outlived your usefulness, not just to the Curse and me, but everyone in this audience.” Hopkins added, “If you ever try to come back, I will break your neck personally!” Wolf rolled to the ground, looked dejected, and left. “I never needed him anyway!” Hopkins said. He left, too.

* Twist & Flip came to the ring. I don’t think I’ve seen them in Dreamwave before; they are both pretty short, and I’ve seen them multiple times in Indiana and the Chicagoland scene. Yes, they just indicated it’s their debut here. They want a shot at the vacant belts! However, Hartenbower came out, then Arik Cannon!

5. Hartenbower and Arik Cannon vs. “Twist & Flip” Nate Kobain and Darren Fly. All four brawled at the bell. The commentators weren’t sure if this match was for the vacant tag titles. Arik hit a basement dropkick to Fly’s back, then a twisting neckbreaker for a nearfall at 1:30. T&F began working over Arik. Kobain hit a dropkick for a nearfall at 4:00. Kobain slammed teammate Fly onto Arik for a nearfall. Arik nailed a head-capture suplex on Darren, and they were both down.

Hartenbower got a hot tag at 5:30 and began punching the scrawny duo. He did a Gorilla Press on Fly and tossed Darren onto Kobain. Hartenbower hit a clothesline for a nearfall. Arik and Hartenbower put their opponents across their shoulders and rammed their heads together. Kobain dove onto Arik! In the ring, Kobain hit an enzuigiri on Hartenbower at 7:30. He hit a basement dropkick in the corner. He flipped Darren onto Hartenbower for a nearfall! Hartenbower got underneath T&F in the corner and hit a double powerbomb! He slammed Darren face-first to the mat, then he hit a spear on Darren for the pin. Solid match.

Hartenbower and Arik Cannon defeated “Twist & Flip” Nate Kobain and Darren Fly at 9:46.

* Hartenbower got on the mic and indicated they might team up again. (And go for the tag titles?)

* It is DARK out now, but the ring looks great. How come more indy shows aren’t lit this well???

6. Rebecca J. Scott vs. Megan Bayne for the Dreamwave Women’s Title. In some good humor, RJS is dressed as Buzz Lightyear, and Megan is dressed as Woody! They shook hands at the bell, but Megan’s height and overall size advantage is quite obvious! RJS hopped on her back, but Megan shrugged her off. Scott hit a shotgun dropkick. Megan dropped her with a shoulder tackle at 2:00. RJS hit a running knee into the corner and a huracanrana, then a running knee against the ropes that knocked Bayne to the floor!

RJS hit a somersault splash off the apron onto Bayne on the parking lot. In the ring, Scott hit a missile dropkick. Bayne hit a fallaway slam at 3:30, then some shoulder thrusts to the ribs in the corner. Megan hit a series of bodyslams and was in charge. RJS tried a sleeper, but Megan ran backwards into the corner to escape. Megan hit a dropkick for a nearfall at 6:00. She applied a sleeper and shook Rebecca violently! RJS escaped and hit a superkick, then a DDT and a running knee to the side of the head.

Rebecca hit a basement dropkick and a Crucifix Driver for a nearfall at 7:30. Bayne hit a suplex and a German Suplex, then a splash into the corner and a Falcon Arrow for a nearfall. Megan hit a superplex, but RJS hit a stunner, and they were both down at 9:30. They got up and traded forearm strikes. RJS hit a running back elbow, but Megan cut her in half with a spear for a nearfall. Megan immediately hit an F5 faceplant for a nearfall.

RJS hit a top-rope crossbody block, but Megan rolled through it, stood up, and set up for a Tombstone Piledriver. However, RJS escaped and hit a huracanrana and a stomp to the head. RJS applied a sleeper. Some music played. B3cca jumped in the ring and struck RJS in the head with a title belt. The ref turned around and saw B3cca with the belt and called for the bell.

Rebecca J. Scott vs. Megan Bayne was declared a no contest at 13:04; RJS retains the Dreamwave Women’s Title.

7. Pinky Montoya and Alfonso Gonzalez vs. Kevin Thorn and Sirena Veil. The last time I saw Thorn two or three years ago, he looked nothing like his WWE vampire character. (With that thick mustache and lighter hair, he looks more like Silas Young than WWE-era Thorn!) Veil has been competing as the “vampire baddie” in Tennessee and Alabama. Pink-haired Montoya was briefly in WWE LFG and Evolve as Haze Jameson. Pinky was going to start, but Thorn started, so she tagged in the chubby Gonzalez!

Alfonso got in, never tied up, and tagged Pinky in! She tagged him back in; this is clearly going to be all comedy. Sirena finally got in at 4:00 and went to bite Alfonso’s neck, but he pushed her away. Pinky hit an armdrag — hey, an actual wrestling move! Veil hit some blows on Gonzalez and a rolling cannonball at 6:00. She set up for a Vader Bomb, but she twisted and made it a senton for a nearfall. Thorn tagged back in, and he choked Gonzalez in the ropes.

Veil hit a Shining Wizard for a nearfall at 8:30. Pinky tagged in and brawled with Veil. Thorn came up behind Pinky, grabbed her, and set up for a powerbomb, but Gonzalez kicked Thorn to make the save. Veil sprayed red mist in Pinky’s face! Thorn grabbed Gonzalez by the throat and hit a chokeslam for the pin. This one didn’t click much for me.

Kevin Thorn and Sirena Veil defeated Pinky Montoya and Alfonso Gonzalez at 11:52.

8. Connor Hopkins vs. Bobby Orlando for the Dreamwave Title. They immediately traded punches! Bobby hit a clothesline and was fired up. He hit a back-body drop at 1:00, and Connor rolled to the parking lot to regroup. Orlando followed, and they brawled at ringside. They got back into the ring at 3:30, and Bobby stomped on him in the corner. Hopkins hit a uranage and an elbow drop for a nearfall. Hopkins hit a superkick for a nearfall at 5:00.

Connor applied a sleeper on the mat. Bobby hit a running neckbreaker, then an Electric Chair drop for a nearfall at 6:30. Hopkins hit a running knee and an Exploder Suplex for a nearfall. Connor hit some chops and kept Bobby grounded. Bobby dove through the ropes and crashed onto Connor at 8:30. In the ring, Bobby hit a splash for a nearfall. They got up and traded punches. Orlando hit a superkick, but Connor hit a Rebound Lariat. Bobby hit a slam, and they were both down at 10:00.

They got up and traded overhand chops and forearm strikes. Bobby hit a sunset flip bomb, and he nailed his Athena-style flying stunner for a believable nearfall at 12:00. Orlando nearly ran into the ref! Connor raked Bobby’s eyes and hit a Jay Driller for a believable nearfall. He rolled out of the ring, grabbed his belt, and brought it into the ring. The ref confiscated it. Bobby hit a superkick and the Athena-style stunner! He nailed the second-rope flying elbow drop to the sternum for the pin! New champion! The crowd popped for the title change.

Bobby Orlando defeated Connor Hopkins to win the Dreamwave Title at 14:20.

* Channing Thomas and Sidney Bakabella came to the ring to celebrate the title change with Bobby. However, Sidney threw a fireball in Bobby’s eyes, and Channing hit a leaping piledriver!

Final Thoughts: A fun show. Some of the comedy didn’t work for me, but more hits than misses. I fully expected the screwjob non-finish we got, but Megan-RJS still earned best match of the show. Orlando’s title win was unexpected but the right call. That earned second-best of the night. I’ll give the women’s four-way third place.

I always make a point of noting if lighting is good. A poorly-lit show can just be unwatchable, no matter how good the action might be. So I will reiterate that it was well past sunset for that main event, but it was well lit, not just in the ring, but as they fought in the parking lot.
