By Chris Vetter, ProWrestling.net Contributor (@chrisvetter73)

Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (Episode 36)
Leon, Mexico, at Domo de la Feria
Streamed live October 3, 2026, on Fox in Latin America and on the WWE YouTube Channel

Corey Graves and JBL provided commentary.

* Several wrestlers were shown arriving at the venue.

* To the arena! El Grande Americano came out, wearing a suit, and his title around his waist. He spoke in Spanish. (No one is providing English translation.) He said something about finishing his story. Only seconds in, Dominik Mysterio, Omos and Dorian Roldan emerged from the back. Roldan said he wants to address “the people of Mexico.” He said Omos is the greatest in the world, and that got boos. (Hey, I’m doing pretty well with the translation so far! Those Spanish refresher lessons with my son are paying off!) Rey Mysterio came out and spoke.

Graves interpreted, saying that Rey stated, “we finally have a Mega champion we can be proud of in Americano.”Dorian tried to get the decision overturned, claiming Rey was not a licensed referee. He also threatened legal action. Americano challenged Omos and Dominik to a tag match … tonight! If Omos’ team wins, Dominik will get a title shot. If Dominik and Omos lose, Dominik will never get a title shot against Americano again!

* Mr. Iguana was shown backstage, and he still looked crestfallen about losing at TripleMania. He’s getting a singles match next! [C]

1. La Parka vs. Mr. Iguana for the Latin American Title. They hugged at the bell before tying up, and they immediately fought to the mat. La Parka tied him in a Surfboard at 1:30. They both kipped up and had a standoff. We are definitely seeing a serious side of Mr. Iguana. (He just might snap if he doesn’t win the title!) La Parka hit a deep armdrag. Iguana hit a dropkick at 3:30. He hit a headscissors takedown. La Parka hit a dive to the floor. They brawled on the floor.

Iguana shoved La Parka back into the ring. La Parka hit a rolling kip-up stunner for a nearfall at 5:30. Iguana went for a cross-armbreaker, and he rolled up La Parka for a nearfall. They again fought on the floor and traded overhand chops. In the ring, Iguana hit an enzuigiri at 7:30. He hit a Crucifix Driver for a believable nearfall! La Parka hit a top-rope Spanish Fly for a nearfall. They hit stereo clotheslines at 9:00. Almost immediately, Los Perros Del Mal hit the ring and beat them both up.

La Parka vs. Mr. Iguana went to a no-contest due to outside interference at 9:10; La Parka retains the Latin American Title.

* The rudos were about to Pillmanize La Parka’s leg, but Nino Hamburguesa ran down for the save. [C]

2. AAA Mega Champion El Grande Americano and Rey Mysterio vs. Omos and Dominik Mysterio (w/Roldan). Father and son opened and they got in a knuckle lock, and Rey got a rollup. Dominik hit a clothesline at 1:30. Rey hit a bulldog. Americano entered and hit a running penalty kick. He backed Dominik into a corner and repeatedly punched him. Omos entered for the first time at 3:30; Americano jumped on his back and tried a sleeper, but Omos ran back-first into the corner. Omos set up for a chokeslam, but Americano applied a cross-armbreaker, over the ropes. Dominik ran over and threw Americano into the ring steps.

Dominik hit a slingshot senton into the ring for a nearfall at 5:00. Omos tied Americano’s arms behind his back. Americano hit some forearm strikes. Rey got the hot tag at 7:00 and hit a headscissors takedown on Dominik, then a series of punches in the corner. “Terrible, terrible father,” JBL said. Rey hit a seated senton and a tornado DDT for a nearfall. Rey hit another headscissors takedown. Both Americano and Rey set up for 619s, but Omos cut them off.

They trapped Omos’s arms between the second and top ropes! Americano punched him. Americano hit a top-rope blockbuster on Dominik at 10:00. Roldan distracted the ref. Omos pulled Americano to the floor and beat him up. Rey hit a 619 around the ring post! He hit a second one, then a seated senton, with both of them crashing through the announce table! “Goliath is down!” JBL said. Rey rolled into the ring, but Dom pulled off Rey’s mask! Dom struck Americano in the head with the title and got the cheap pin!

Omos and Dominik Mysterio defeated El Grande Americano and Rey Mysterio at 11:56.

* Dom celebrated, holding Rey’s mask in one hand and Americano’s title in the other hand. Dom will get his title shot on October 24!

Final Thoughts: A solid episode. The opening talking segment went pretty long for just a one-hour program. The first match was decent action but the Los Perros Del Mal run-in was entirely expected. You know what you are getting with an Omos match, and I’ll just leave it at that.
