AEW Dynamite (Episode 365)
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at Petersen Events Center
Simulcast on September 30, 2026, on TBS and HBO Max
[Hour One] Dynamite opened with a memorial graphic for Benjamin “Pac” Satterley. Excalibur was emotional as he read prepared comments regarding Pac…
Tony Schiavone stood in the ring with a bouquet and a framed photo of Pac. Schiavone said they are family in AEW. He said they were grief-stricken when they found out about Ben. He said Pac showed you can be a bastard when you enter the ring and a great person outside the ring. Schiavone said they were honoring Pac with tonight’s show. Schiavone set up a video of Pac’s final time on camera…
A post-AEW All Out video showed Jon Moxley seated outdoors while members of the Death Riders stood by him. Moxley cut a promo about losing the All Out main event to Will Ospreay. Moxley said he doesn’t think people see what they have or what’s at stake. Moxley spoke about kids who are just like them growing up watching pro wrestling. Moxley said they could make pro wrestling whatever they want to. When Moxley stood up, Pac, Marina Shafir, Daniel Garcia, and Wheeler Yuta were shown. Pac was the last person to walk out of the camera shot…
Schiavone stood in the ring while the fans applauded. Schiavone asked for a moment of silence. Tony Khan, wrestlers, and referees stood on the stage while a ten-bell salute took place. Most of the AEW personnel were wearing Pac memorial t-shirts. The fans were respectful during the ten-bell salute, and then clapped after Schiavone thanked them…
The Death Riders entrance theme played, and then an empty chair with a towel on it was shown. Ring announcer Justin Roberts introduced Jon Moxley, who walked through the crowd. Meanwhile, Schiavone joined Excalibur on commentary. Orange Cassidy made his entrance to “Where Is My Mind?” by The Pixies…
Powell’s POV: The ten-bell salute was classy and heartbreaking, with several of the people onstage sobbing. Moxley looked like he was trying to keep it together during his entrance. It feels trivial tonight, but WrestleTix listed the venue as being set up for 3,380 with 3,170 tickets distributed. The total number of seats on the map is 11,905. The last time AEW ran the venue, 2,908 tickets were distributed for the September 24, 2025, Dynamite.
1. Jon Moxley vs. Orange Cassidy for the AEW Continental Championship. Cassidy was emotional. He handed his shades to the referee and then stood in his corner for a moment. The big screen had Pac photos, along with a live shot of the match taking place. The LED boards on the barricade included the memorial graphic. The match continued as they cut to a picture-in-picture commercial break. [C]
Excalibur plugged the Pac memorial T-shirts and said 100 percent of the profits would go to Pac’s family. Cassidy threw a light leg kick. Moxley responded with a rolling elbow. They went back and forth for a bit, and then Cassidy threw a regular superkick. Moxley threw some light kicks, which got a smile out of Cassidy.
Cassidy, who wore a black “Pac” armband, put his hands in his pockets. Moxley looked to the crowd and teased that he was going to put his hands in his pockets, only to give Cassidy double birds. Cassidy dropkicked Moxley and then hit two Orange Punches
Cassidy hooked Moxley into a pin for a near fall. Cassidy followed up with Stundog Millionaire. Moxley hooked him into a choke, but Cassidy used a crucifix to get a near fall. Moxley fired up and went for the Brutalizer, but Cassidy avoided it. Cassidy went for the Brutalizer, but Moxley stuffed it, got to his feet, and Stomped Cassidy. Moxley hit the Death Rider and then pinned Cassidy.
Jon Moxley defeated Orange Cassidy in 17:20 to retain the AEW Continental Championship.
Moxley put his forehead and fists on the mat. Moxley eventually got to his feet and then sat back down while Cassidy was still lying down.
Bryan Danielson’s entrance theme played, and he made his entrance wearing a Pac memorial t-shirt. Cassidy exited the ring. The crowd gave the emotional Danielson “Yes!” chants. Danielson entered the ring and looked down at Moxley, who then got to his feet and leaned against the ropes while a “holy shit” chant broke out. Moxley grimaced before turning around and then went face-to-face with Danielson, who started to cry before he and Moxley embraced. The Death Riders’ entrance theme played while Moxley and Danielson continued their embrace. Once they let go, Moxley dropped to his knees… [C]
Powell’s POV: Wow. Moxley and Cassidy were both very emotional, but they made it through and put together a crowd-pleasing match. There was a notable change after the commercial break. Moxley and Cassidy picked up the pace, the crowd was livelier, and the broadcast team was more upbeat. The post-match moment with Moxley and Danielson was touching.
“Hangman” Adam Page was featured in a pre-taped tribute to Pac. Page was seated and cried as he spoke about Pac and how he cared about everyone. Page wept while saying that he’s going to miss Pac. He thanked Pac, said goodbye, and then rested his head on his hands and sobbed…

Beretta held up Nick behind him, and then Romero jumped off the top rope and double-stomped Nick into a Deadeye, which led to a near fall before a PIP break. [C]
Page had a flurry of offense and hit a running shooting star press on Knight for a near fall. Omega tagged in and had a run of offense. The Elite members all superkicked Romero simultaneously. They followed up with simultaneous dives, which led to a near fall. Moments later, Omega and Page hit a combo V-Trigger and Buckshot Lariat on Beretta. The Bucks followed up with a BTE Trigger. Jay White spoke to Pac while saying how respected he was. White said he used to emulate Pac “probably at 1/16 the speed.” White said Pac was the perfect wrestler, a complete professional, and the greatest man.
[Hour Two] White cried while saying that it felt like they were waiting for Ben to show up for Pac Appreciation Night. White asked God to look over Pac, his wife, his family, and his friends. White told Pac he would miss him and said that he loves him…
Renee Paquette stood next to the ring. The Pac photo and bouquet were set up in the ring. Paquette read a statement from Ben’s wife Natalie and his parents:
“We are completely devastated to have lost our beautiful Ben, but the love and support we have received from every corner of the globe has been helping us get through these last few awful days. Whilst he will always have a legacy as one of the greatest wrestlers the UK has ever produced, we have been so glad to see so many wonderful tributes that acknowledged who Ben was as a person. He exemplified what it meant to be a decent human being, an honorable man with principles who adores his family and his [and his dog].
“Ben loved Newcastle United; he loved reggae and hip hop; he loved dancing with his wife and friends and spending time with his parents, who now must mourn their only child. Ben had a long and illustrious career that took him all over the world. In late 2018, he met Tony Khan, who changed his life forever. Tony’s faith in Ben was never lost on him, and he was always committed to giving the best performance he possibly could.
“Ben was so happy to be a proud part of this AEW family and to be in an encouraging and caring environment that he could feel at ease in. He made some wonderful friends in his time with the company. We could not be more thankful to everybody at AEW for all of their help in navigating this tragedy. They have been truly phenomenal. Tony Khan is a great man, and this business is so lucky to have someone like him. Thank you for lightening our load.
“Thank you to all of Ben’s fans for their support over the years. We send you our love, and we have been moved to see so many people saying so many wonderful things about his impact on their lives, whether great or small. We will love you forever, Ben, and our lives will never be the same again. Thank you, the Satterley family.” The fans applauded…
Powell’s POV: Renee is a total pro. She got choked up at one point, but she somehow made it through what was a lovely statement from a grieving family.
Swerve Strickland, Kofi, Austin Creed, and Prince Nana made their entrance. Creed was sobbing. Once in the ring, they held up the AEW Trios Title belts and placed them in the ring. Creed draped a Pac memorial towel. All four men hugged… [C]

He said his bag could fit under the bed, and Ben’s sat off to the side, and that was about all the space they had in the room. He said he looked up to Ben and he was a big brother to him. Ricochet said it feels like he lost a brother. He said it’s always the good people who everyone has great stories about and can talk positively about.
Ricochet said it was so nice to see everyone share some memory they’ve had of Ben, whether it be in Japan, WWE, AEW, Mexico, England, or even from when Ben wrestled in the backyard. Ricochet said there will never be someone as good in the ring as he is out of the ring. Ricochet said he knew they would see each other again. He got choked up while telling Ben he loved him and said they are all going to miss him…
Entrances for the next match took place…
3. AEW World Champion Will Ospreay (w/Andrade El Idolo, Mike Bailey, and Francesco Akira) vs. Ricochet (w/Toa Liona, Bishop Kaun) in a non-title match. Before the bell, Ospreay and Ricochet took a knee and shared a long embrace. Once they stood up, Ricochet had a moment with referee Bryce Remsburg.
Excalibur said this match could have been the main event, but Tony Khan announced that the show would close with a Death Riders vs. Don Callis Family ten-man tag match. Ricochet dove from the ring onto Ospreay on the floor before a PIP break. [C]
Late in the match, Ricochet hit a shooting star press for a near fall. Ospreay rallied and hit the Hidden Blade. Ospreay looked at a top turnbuckle. He went up top and hit the Black Arrow for the win.

He said they would film it and put it on YouTube. He said a guy named Steven Farrell, who told Ospreay that a guy named Pac was performing a lot of the moves that he was doing. Ospreay spoke about how much it meant when he found out that it was the same Pac who worked in 1PW against people like AJ Styles and wrestled in Dragon Gate.
Ospreay said watching those matches gave him hope that he could walk the same road that Pac did. Ospreay said the one thing he wanted to do was wrestle Pac. He said he got to meet him in the ring in 2019. He said that despite playing such a horrible bastard, Pac was a wonderful person. He said he would miss having long talks with Pac and learning from him. Ospreay said told Pac that he would miss him and loved him, and thanked him for what he did for him and so many other people… [C]
Entrances for the trios match took place. Britt Baker received a nice hometown reaction. Jon Moxley accompanied Shafir to ringside…
4. Mercedes Mone, Britt Baker, and Persephone vs. Marina Shafir, Thunder Rosa, and Hyan. Excalibur noted that it was originally scheduled to be Baker and Persephone vs. Rosa and Hyan. He said Tony Khan made the call to add Mone and Shafir earlier in the day, in part because of Shafir’s friendship with Pac. Shafir had Persephone leaning against the ropes and performed a 619-style leg swing, but rather than kick Persephone, Shafir wrapped her legs around Persephone’s head and sent her to the floor before a PIP break. [C]
Jon Moxley was in Shafir’s corner coming out of the break. Late in the match, Persephone speared Shafir, and then Baker followed up with a Stomp. Baker pulled out a black glove and went for the Lockjaw, but Shafir stood up, took Baker down, and applied the Brutalizer for the win.

Swerve spoke about getting to know Ben once they were in AEW together. He said Pac was quiet in the room, but when he spoke, it was something important, something that you needed that day. Swerve said he hopes that Ben knows that he was loved and cared for very dearly by everyone, not just in AEW, but everywhere in the professional wrestling world.
Darby Allin’s tribute aired. He said when you think of a pro wrestler who is dedicated to his craft, he always thought of Ben. He said you always wonder why people are in pro wrestling and whether it was for the fame or money, but for Ben it was for the love of pro wrestling.
[Overrun] Darby got emotional as he spoke about watching old clips after he was informed of Ben’s death. He mentioned fighting on a golf course and being thrown through a flaming table. Darby recalled thinking Pac wouldn’t want to do any dumb shenanigans and would want to keep it in the ring, but they ended up playing in the sand. Darby told Ben he loved him and thanked him for all of the crazy moments they shared in the ring. He said maybe in the next life there will be a golf course they can fight on, but until then he said he loves him…
The Callis Family members made their entrance. The Death Riders’ entrance followed. Jon Moxley was in non-wrestling attire. The Death Riders did their circle thing and then did push-ups. Excalibur acted surprised when Moxley sat down next to him at the broadcast table. Schiavone pointed out that it was five-on-four. The Death Riders theme played again and then changed to Bryan Danielson’s entrance theme. The crowd popped big as Danielson headed to the ring in his gear and a Pac tribute T-shirt, leading “Yes!” chants…
5. “The Death Riders” Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and Gabe Kidd (w/Marina Shafir) vs. Warldow, Josh Alexander, Lance Archer, Jake Doyle, and Mark Davis (w/Don Callis). Jon Moxley stood up and spoke about how he wanted to see Danielson get blown up. He corrected himself and said he wanted Danielson to be the sixth most blown-up person in the match behind their opponents. Funny. Castagnoli gave Alexander the Giant Swing until Yuta dropkicked Alexander. Wardlow tagged in and performed a sit-out move on Yuta before a PIP break. [C]
Moxley was fired up on commentary and got some laughs out of Excalibur and Schiavone. Late in the match, Archer grabbed Shafir by the throat while she was on the apron, but she countered into an armbar over the ropes. Castagnoli performed a rare dive over the top rope. Garcia broke out his dance move. The Death Riders team took turns hitting clotheslines and uppercuts on Doyle, who was in a corner of the ring. Shafir capped it off with a shot of her own on Doyle.
Kidd ran the ropes several times before putting Doyle down with a lariat. Garcia put Doyle in the Dragon Tamer while Castagnoli hit Doyle with a Stomp. Garcia covered Doyle for the win.

The show closed with a Pac video package that included some comments from him about trying to entertain as much as he can. The footage included Pac in AEW, ROH, and Rev Pro. There was also footage from Being the Elite with Cody Rhodes, the Young Bucks, and Page. Several great photos were included. Shafir was shown seated on a top turnbuckle, turned away from the camera, talking about how great Pac was.
“Don’t you dare forget about The Bastard,” Pac said in one clip before footage of him teaming with Penta and Rey Fenix as the Death Triangle was shown. One of the photos showed Pac with his dog. There were several Death Riders photos and footage, and a clip of Brodie Lee facing Pac at what appeared to be a Dragon Gate show. A photo of Pac with Andy “The Butcher” Williams was shown. There were some family photos shown, including Pac dancing with his mother, posing for a photo with his dog, and multiple photos with his wife.
The video closed with footage from Pac’s tribute to Williams. “Every single day is a gift. I love you, man. And you always made sure that I knew you loved me too. Until we meet again.” Pac blew a kiss to the camera and then put his head down. Pac’s memorial graphic was shown. They cut to a shot in the arena of a chair with a towel on it under a spotlight, with the Death Riders standing in the shadow behind it. The fans chanted, “Thank you, Pac,” and cheered to end the episode.
Powell’s POV: Wow, what a wonderful, emotional video, with a great final shot of the chair with the Death Riders standing in the background. Danielson making his unadvertised return to the ring on a tribute show for his friend was awesome and something that never even crossed my mind beforehand.
AEW does an outstanding job with their tribute shows, and this one was truly beautiful, but here’s hoping AEW and all pro wrestling companies don’t have to do another tribute show for a long time. I have all the respect in the world for everyone who took part in this show, particularly those closest to Pac. The family’s statement was classy and touching. My heart goes out to them.
It seems like a no-brainer to me, but let me know what you thought of the tribute show by grading it below. More importantly, hug your loved ones or reach out to a friend or family member that you haven’t spoken to lately for whatever reason. This show is a reminder of just how precious and short life is.
