NXT TV rating (9/8): Were two title matches enough to maintain the improved numbers drawn by the NXT Heatwave fallout show?

The Tuesday, September 8, NXT television show averaged 714,000 viewers on The CW, according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.com. The viewership count was up from the previous week’s average of 768,000. NXT finished with a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demo, up from last week’s 0.17 rating.

Powell’s POV: The ESPN Unlimited streaming numbers are not included in the rating or viewership count for NXT programming. Although the numbers were down from the previous week, they were still well above average. One year earlier, the September 9, 2025, NXT on The CW averaged 654,000 viewers and a 0.14 rating.
