AEW issued the following press release on Tuesday to announce its programming deal with Hulu Japan.
September 16, 2026 – All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Hulu Japan today announced that AEW Dynamite, AEW Collision and live AEW pay-per-view events will begin streaming exclusively in Japan on Hulu Japan beginning November 2026.
Hulu Japan is an online video streaming service operated by HJ Holdings, Inc. It offers a wide range of exclusive content, including “Hulu Originals”—movies, dramas, and variety shows produced or exclusively distributed by Hulu—as well as catch-up episodes of popular TV broadcasts. The service is officially accessible only within Japan.

Powell’s POV: Hulu Japan was originally a localized version of the Hulu streaming service. HJ Holdings is a subsidiary of Nippon Television, which acquired Hulu Japan in 2014, and it has operated independently ever since. Hulu Japan has roughly three million subscribers, according to online estimates. Meanwhile, WWE announced that its programming will move to Netflix in Japan starting October 1. WWE’s current Japanese partner is Abema, so this is not a case of AEW replacing WWE once it moves to Netflix in Japan.
