Dot Net reader Bill Pivetz attended the AEW Dynamite event on Wednesday in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and sent the following report on the AEW Dark tapings.
1. Joey Janela defeated Brandon Cutler. Janela got a big pop and won with a superplex. Good match, nothing special. For someone who calls himself “The Bad Boy,” Janela sure did pander to the crowd a lot.
2. Nyla Rose beat Leva Bates (w/Peter Avalon). Avalon heeled on the crowd, making fun of Philadelphia. Rose won with a sit-out powerbomb. It was weird having two heels face off, unless Rose isn’t a heel.
3. Cody, Dustin Rhodes, and Young Bucks beat Private Party and Strong Hearts. This was a typical, send the crowd home happy, comedy, hit all your moves, dark match. Private Party and Strong Hearts got some offense in. It was enjoyable, though.
