Mickie James commented suffering the injury that led to her recent ACL surgery and what she will during her time off in a story on her website that can be read in full at MickieJames.com.

James on how she suffered the knee injury: “From the very moment of impact, I knew something was wrong. I hoped against all odds that it wasn’t a serious injury, but it was that bad. I don’t fault Carmella. She has always been a professional. I’ve been very lucky to avoid major injuries in the past; but eventually, everyone’s luck runs out in the ring. After 20 years, I guess mine did.”

On what she will do while out of action following surgery: “You’re going to see me doing things I haven’t been able to do in ages. We’re talking fan expos and conventions, more music performances and, of course, appearances with WWE.”

Powell’s POV: James suffered the injury during a WWE live event match on June 1 and underwent surgery on July 16. The story includes a photo of James with surgeon James Dugas following her surgery. Here’s wishing her all the best in her recovery.
