NWA Video: Eli Drake’s first NWA singles match against a returning ROH wrestler

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

The video of Eli Drake’s first singles match in the NWA has been released. Drake’s match with Grizzly Redwood was held at the Ring of Honor television tapings on June 29 in Philadelphia. You can watch the footage below or at the NWA Youtube Page.

Powell’s POV: Nick Aldis sat in on commentary and cracked me up by referring to Redwood as “Grizzly Blueballs” at one point. This was a showcase win for Drake, which is logical given that he just debuted with the company. Drake’s post match in-ring promo and backstage comments are also included in the video. Despite teaming with Aldis at the Best in the World pay-per-view, Drake makes it clear that he’s going after the NWA Championship.
