Former WWE personality Terri Runnels is out of jail following her Wednesday arrest for carrying a loaded gun into the security check line at Tampa International Airport. Runnels said she brings her gun when she visits her mother because of armadillos that ruin her mother’s garden “and other critters” that attack her mother’s chickens. She said she got roughly eight hours of sleep over three days and simply forgot that the gun was in her bag. “I’ve never been in trouble in my life and it scared the hell out of me,” Runnels said. “It was a simple mistake… It was horrible.”

Powell’s POV: Runnels got emotional and said she just wanted to set the record straight. She said some outlets made it seem like she was going to do something horrible and stressed that it was a simple mistake. TMZ.com reported on Wednesday that the crime carries a punishment of up to five years in prison and up to $5,000 in fines.
