Ronda Rousey suffers broken hand, taking time away from WWE

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Ronda Rousey suffered a broken right hand during the main event of WrestleMania 35. Dave Meltzer of MMAFighting.com and WrestlingObserver.com reports that the injury stemmed from a punch that she threw. The story also states that the plan has always been for Rousey to win the women’s championship, lose it at WrestleMania, and take time away.

Powell’s POV: Rousey is advertised for tonight’s Raw and the story notes that it’s the final date she’s advertised for. Rousey has spoken in the past about taking time away to start a family, but she has not committed publicly to the idea that this break will occur immediately after WrestleMania 35.

The new edition of the Pro Wrestling Boom Podcast with Jason Powell features Justin Credible returning to discuss playing comedy clubs with Sandman and Shane Douglas on "The Whole F'n Truth Tour", the status of the "Credible" documentary, reviewing AEW Dynamite with Vince Russo, and much more...
