WWE granted Tye Dillinger (Ron Arneill) a release from his contract on Friday. Read the official announcement at WWE.com.

Powell’s POV: Dillinger requested his release on his 38th birthday on Tuesday. For those keeping score, Dillinger would be free to work the AEW Double Or Nothing event even after sitting out the standard 90-day noncompete window.

Check below for the new Pro Wrestling Boom Podcast with Jason Powell and former WWE Smackdown lead writer Alex Greenfield discussing the NXT call-ups, Stephanie McMahon’s past contributions to WWE creative, the growth of MLW, and much more.

  1. To me, this is the biggest name, and talent released by the WWE. I can’t help but think he’ll show up in AEW, and probably be a player there.
