Paige spoke with the New York Post to promote the Fighting With My Family release and discussed the sex tape leak and the depression it caused. The story noted that she was treated for anorexia and her hair started falling out. “To be publicly humiliated like that was terrible, and I don’t wish that for anyone,” Paige said. “I didn’t go to work; I didn’t do anything. I felt so rock bottom.”

Paige credited a chance encounter with young fan at a grocery story for bringing her out of her depression. “Of course, she didn’t have the internet and thought I was the most beautiful and most successful woman in the world,” she said “It opened my eyes to so many things. I was like, ‘I’m gonna let videos get in the way of things?’ I thought, what am I doing? I need to be successful for her. My whole journey was supposed to be about inspiring people.” Read the full interview at NYPost.com.

Powell’s POV: Paige’s in-ring career ending due to injury was obviously a sad situation, but it is great to see the way she has bounced back from the sex tape and all of the personal issues she was battling not so privately during her relationship with Alberto El Patron. Fighting With My Family has an early release in theaters on Thursday, and currently has an 88 percent approval rating amongst 34 critics on RottenTomatoes.com.
