NXT Takeover: WarGames II Pre-Show
Aired on WWE Network
Los Angeles, California at Staples Center

-Charly Caruso, Sam Roberts, and Pat McAfee hosted the show from the set on the main floor. McAfee revealed he was wearing gold shows and shorts beneath his professional attire up top.

-Footage aired from earlier in the day of Velveteen Dream and Tommaso Ciampa arriving separately. Dream stopped and looked at a Kobe Bryant picture, while Ciampa arrived dressed in his ring attire while clutching his title belt. A video package aired on their NXT Championship match.

-Guitarist Nita Strauss joined the panel and spoke about her new album and her past WWE appearances. She and the other panelists spoke about the NXT Women’s Championship best of three falls match between Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane. Strauss wrapped up her run on the show as they aired a video package on Aleister Black vs. Johnny Gargano.

-Matt Riddle joined the panel. McAfee and Riddle had a bro-off moment. Kassius Ohno showed up with a mic in hand and said he never knew one word could make someone physically ill. Ohno said Riddle makes him sicks. he said Riddle has a humble act and everyone acts like he’s the greatest. Ohno said it would take him one second to expose him once they are in the ring together. Riddle said he used to think Ohno was cool, but he’s just bitter. Riddle told Ohno he should focus on being better rather than bitter. Caruso hyped Riddle vs. Ohno for Wednesday’s NXT television show.

-Sarah Schreiber checked in from a spot on the floor where fans chanted NXT behind her. The panel ran trough the four-match lineup. A video package aired on last year’s WarGames match.

-After a WarGames video package, Roberts read through the match rules. He noted that there was no roof on the cage, but if anyone left the cage it would result in a forfeit for their team. For some reason, McAfee said Adam Cole looks like a fighter pilot who would be very comfortable in a cockpit.
