WWE’s women’s evolution and the conflict of continuing to run shows in Saudi Arabia was covered in a new AP Sports story written by Doug Feinberg and Dan Gelston. Natalya shared her belief that WWE’s female talent will eventually be allowed to work in Saudi Arabia. “You’re not going to change a culture overnight,” Natalya said. “I think WWE is taking such positive steps in doing positive things over in Saudi Arabia. One day, I believe that we will be over there.” Meanwhile, Alexa Bliss expressed a similar belief. “I don’t feel like it’s out of reach,” Bliss said. “Who knows? I don’t think it’s ever not a possibility.” Read the full story at APNews.com.

Powell’s POV: I don’t take issue with WWE talent towing the company line while making media appearances on behalf of the company. It’s a tough spot for them to be in. Putting that aside, the piece acknowledges that the company has come under fire for it’s business relationship with Saudi Arabia, and I am also quoted in the story with my take that the relationship with the Saudis is a black cloud hanging over WWE and the Evolution pay-per-view.
