The following matches are advertised for the New Japan Pro Wrestling Fighting Spirit Unleashed event that will be held on Sunday in Long Beach, California at the Walter Pyramid.
-Juice Robinson vs. Cody for the IWGP U.S. Championship.
-The Young Bucks vs. Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Titles.
-Will Ospreay vs. Marty Scurll in an IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title tournament match.
Powell’s POV: NJPW is also advertising Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, Tetsuya Naito, Evil, Sanada, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi for this event. They should be setting the rest of the lineup soon now that the Destruction shows are in the books. This event will stream live on New Japan World. It will debut on AXS TV on Friday, October 5 with Jim Ross and Kevin Kelly on commentary. Ross’s usual broadcast partner Josh Barnett had a scheduling conflict.
