The new NWA “10 Pounds of Gold” digital series focuses on NWA Champion Cody making his first appearance at the Championship Wrestling From Hollywood event. Cody addresses his upcoming title defenses against Willie Mack at the ROH TV taping on September 29, and his rematch with Nick Aldis that will be held at the October 21 NWA 70th Anniversary event. Powell’s POV: Cody also acknowledges that he will be a free agent in January and discusses what the NWA Championship means to him. The video includes the announcement of legendary voice Tony Schiavone appearing at the anniversary show and calling the main event, which is a really cool touch given his history of calling NWA Title matches. Tickets for the NWA 70th Anniversary show are on sale at NWA70.com. The event will be available via pay-per-view at FITE TV.
