WWE Smackdown in Tulsa (reports needed), ROH TV, WWE 205 Live, Smackdown dark main events, Blue Panther, John Tolos, Billy Robinson

-WWE Smackdown Live is in Tulsa, Oklahoma at BOK Center with the brand’s first event coming out of WWE Hell in a Cell. WWE is advertising Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Andrade Almas for he U.S. Championship. Join Jake Barnett for live coverage as the show airs on USA Network at 7CT/8ET, and I will be by later tonight with my audio review and again on Wednesday with my WWE Smackdown Hit List.

-The Ring of Honor TV show is the first of a new batch of shows from the Philadelphia tapings in August and features So Cal Uncensored vs. The Briscoes and Punishment Martinez in the main event. My written review went up yesterday, and my members’ exclusive audio review will be available later today.

-The WWE Mixed Match Challenge returns on Facebook Watch tonight at 9CT/10ET. Each 30-minute show will feature a pair of mixed tag matches in the round robin tournament.

-WWE’s 205 Live is airing Wednesdays at 6CT/7ET on WWE Network for the time being. The show was apparently moved due to the Mixed Match Challenge. Last year, the company aired the cruiserweight show live immediately following the MMC matches.

-The dark main events advertised on arena website for tonight’s Smackdown taping are AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, and Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton, The Miz, and Samoa Joe, and Charlotte Flair vs. Carmella vs. Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

Birthdays and Notables

-Blue Panther (Genaro Vazquez Nevarez) is 58.

-The late John Tolos was born on September 18, 1930. He died of kidney failure at age 78 on May 28, 2009.

-The late Billy Robinson was born September 18, 1938. He died at age 75 on March 3, 2014.
