The following matches are advertised for the New Japan Pro Wrestling Fighting Spirit Unleashed event that will be held September 30 in Long Beach, California at the Walter Pyramid.
-Juice Robinson vs. Cody for the IWGP U.S. Championship.
-The Young Bucks vs. Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Titles.
-Will Ospreay vs. Marty Scurll in an IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title tournament match.
Powell’s POV: Robinson vs. Cody is an interesting match in that both wrestlers are super over as babyfaces. Will Cody revert to the more heelish side of his persona for the match or will they play it straight? The tag title match should be strong, but the match that excites me most so far is Ospreay vs. Scurll given how strong their past matches have been. I assume the event will once again be broadcast on AXS TV.
