The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death of Brian Lawler, who was found hanging in hit jail cell on Saturday in the Hardeman County Jail. Lawler was taken to Regional One Medical Center and died on Sunday afternoon. The preliminary report notes that police do not suspect foul play. Read more on the story at Commercialappeal.com.

Powell’s POV: I believe this is standard procedure as the authorities are simply attempting to confirm that Lawler hung himself and no foul play occurred. Due to his fame, Lawler was isolated in his own cell at the jailhouse, where he was staying after being arrested on charges of DUI, driving after revocation, and evading arrest.
