The new NWA “10 Pounds of Gold” digital series video “Flip Before Cody” features the build to Nick Aldis vs. Flip Gordon for the NWA Championship at Friday’s Ring of Honor event in Nashville. Check out the video below or at the NWA Wrestling Youtube page.
Powell’s POV: There are wrestling media members and people from within the industry commenting on the match, including a really fun cameo that I won’t spoil. Some of them join Cody in questioning the idea of Gordon earning a title shot and whether Billy Corgan should want Gordon to be NWA Champion. It closes with a Nick Aldis promo. It’s a good video, but hopefully Friday isn’t the end of the run for Gordon with the NWA. I want to see him get the NWA video treatment since they haven’t done a great job of establishing his persona on ROH television thus far. We got a taste here, but there’s a lot more that can be done to tell his story.
