WWE announced that Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the company’s Hall of Fame. The WWE.com story notes that Hogan was suspended for three years. “This second chance follows Hogan’s numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake,” reads the WWE website story. “These efforts led to a recent induction into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame.”

Powell’s POV: WWE is acknowledging that Hogan made a mistake without actually stating what the mistake was. Let’s review. Hogan was caught on video using racial slurs when he didn’t know he was being filmed having sex with the then-wife of Bubba the Love Sponge. Hogan also made additional disparaging comments to his son Nick Hogan regarding blacks as their conversation was recorded by the jailhouse where Nick was serving time for the driving accident that left his best friend John Graziano with severe brain injuries. WWE has been testing the waters on Hogan’s return recently so this development doesn’t come as a surprise.
