Impact Wrestling announces the signing of Tessa Blanchard

By Jason Powell, Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Impact Wrestling announced that they have signed Tessa Blanchard to a long-term contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Powell’s POV: It’s hard to say what this means without knowing the terms of the deal. Impact typically lets their contracted talent work for other promotions, so I doubt that she will be exclusive to the company. That said, it appears to keep her on Impact television long term, which is certainly a positive. She has been very impressive and hopefully the stability the deal provides will lead the company to making her one of the cornerstones of the Knockouts Division.

The Best of The Boom features Eric Bischoff joining Jason Powell in this March 20, 2019 discussion on whether there are similarities between Verne Gagne's booking during the AWA's dying days and Vince McMahon's WWE booking today, AEW, a Turner network shakeup, and more...

  1. So what now Jason now that she has signed should never lose? It’s amazing how a story is being told and people refuse to listen. She’s a cornerstone and two competitive fluke loses to Madison Rayne a five time knockout champion in he prime doesn’t change that.
