Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown Live scored a 1.64 rating, down from the 1.66 rating the show drew last week. As previously noted, the show averaged 2.298 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.293 million viewers.

Powell’s POV: It’s disappointing to see the show drop in the ratings and remain flat in viewership when it was headlined by a good AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match. That said, the feud has been marred by lousy match finishes and it doesn’t feel special at this point. The NBA playoff game was also a factor in that it drew 8.229 million viewers for ESPN. The May 16, 2017 edition of Smackdown delivered a 1.53 rating with 2.300 million viewers.
