WWE announced Nia Jax vs. Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship will be held at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view on June 17. Jax issued the challenge at the NBC Upfronts on Monday and Rousey agreed to the match. Read more at WWE.com.

Powell’s POV: The match has been added to the official MITB website. I’m surprised to see them go to this match so quickly. It’s an appealing match that should generate more interest in the MITB event, but I thought they would save Rousey’s first title match for somewhere down the road.

  1. The match itself should be a shit show.

    • Maybe. But it won’t be Rousey’s fault if so. She proved at Wrestlemania that she can handle the pressure.

  2. I think it is way too soon to be giving Rousey a title shot. I cannot stand Rousey or Jax and there has to be someone else who can be champ for awhile besides either of them. I would have guessed they could have at least waited till Summerslam for this match.
