-WWE Backlash will be held on Sunday in Newark, New Jersey at Prudential Center. The event features AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a No DQ match for the WWE Championship, and Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe. Join me for live coverage on Sunday beginning with the Kickoff Show at 6CT/7ET and for the actual event that begins at 7CT/8ET. Members will also hear an exclusive audio review hosted by Jake Barnett and I afterward.

-There are no WWE events this weekend aside from Sunday’s Backlash event. Raw will be held on Monday in Uniondale, New York, there is also a Smackdown live event on Monday in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Tuesday’s Smackdown will be held in Baltimore, Maryland. Both crews will be heading overseas for a European tour that begins next Wednesday in Bournemouth, England.
-Impact Wrestling is holding a show with the Wrestling Revolver promotion on tonight in West Des Moines, Iowa at Val Air Ballroom. The show will be taped for an upcoming Twitch TV broadcast.
-The Ring of Honor War of the Worlds tour with New Japan Wrestling talent kicks off on Tuesday in Lowell, Massachusetts. The other dates are May 11 in Toronto, May 12 in Royal Oak, Michigan, and May 13 in Chicago. We are looking for reports from each of these events.
-The Evolve 104 and 105 events will be held on May 19 in Summit, Illinois and May 20 in Livonia, Michigan.

-Dory Funk Sr. was born on May 4, 1919. He died of a heart attack at age 54 on June 3, 1973.
