WWE announced that Asuka will make her in-ring debut the Smackdown television show. Asuka and Becky Lynch will face Peyton Royce and Billie Kay on Tuesday’s show.
Powell’s POV: Tuesday’s Smackdown will be the last show before Friday’s Greatest Royal Rumble. This match won’t play into anything on that show, as there are no women booked for the show in Saudi Arabia. However, it will be interesting to see how Asuka and Lynch characters are positioned as a team against the newly called up IIconics.
If Smackdown has learned anything from their past mistakes, they’ll give the IIconics a win here by some type of cheating. Asuka and Becky aren’t a team, so it wouldn’t hurt either of them to take a loss. They’ve already fed Billie to Charlotte though, so the last thing they should do is have them drop their first main roster match together.
