1. Rusev and Lana vs. Elias and Bayley. Elias had his ribs taped to sell the bass guitar beating he took from Braun Strowman on Raw. Rusev tried to lead the crowd in singing, “Lana is the best, Lana’s number one.” He didn’t have much luck, but there were Rusev Day chants. Rusev got Lana pumped about starting the match.
Lana got a takedown on Bayley and was pumped about it. Bayley quickly worked over Lana, who went to ringside and grabbed Elias’s guitar. Rusev ran over to stop his wife from using the guitar as a weapon. Rusev got the attention of Elias and dropped the guitar. Elias jumped off the apron to check on it.
Elias tagged himself into the match to face Rusev, which led to Rusev Day chants. Rusev called for a test of strength, but Elias kicked him in the gut and went on the offensive. Bayley stood in the corner and sang “Elias is the best.” Rusev came back and targeted the ribs of Elias before catching him with a superkick to the head. Rusev stomped the back of Elias and went for the Accolade, but Elias slipped away to avoid it. Rusev suplexed Elias, who tagged out.
Lana went at Bayley and got a two count off a facebuster. Cole mocked the match Lana and Rusev gear by saying that she was wearing a Battlestar Galactica outfit. Bayley came back and Lana took a suplex awkardly. Bayley placed Lana on the top rope. Elias and Rusev ran in and fought and it distracted Bayley. Lana slid under Bayley and pulled her face first into the turnbuckle pad and then pinned her…
Rusev and Lana beat Elias and Bayley in 9:35.
Cole noted that it was Lana’s first win in WWE. Rusev and Lana celebrated afterward. Rusev declared that it was Ravishing Rusev Day. Elias barked at Graves after the match. Cole hyped Charlotte and Bobby Roode vs. Nia Jax and Apollo Crews. Brief promos from each team were shown…
Powell’s POV: I guess we shouldn’t be surprised to see the Smackdown team win since this show is taped on Tuesday nights and it requires the Raw wrestlers to stay on the road an extra day. As fun as Rusev can be, I actually got a bigger kick out of Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss two weeks ago, and Goldust and Mandy Rose last week.
