HBO announced that the Andre The Giant documentary will debut on Tuesday, April 10 at 9CT/10ET. HBO also released a trailer that can be viewed below or at Youtube.
Powell’s POV: The extended WrestleMania weekend just got a little longer as the documentary will air immediately following the first Smackdown after WWE’s biggest show of the year. Bill Simmons, HBO Sports, and WWE are the producers of the documentary. Simmons pushed for this documentary to be made back in his ESPN days. The trailer is very good and includes classic footage along with interview clips with Hulk Hogan, Billy Crystal, Jerry Lawler, Ric Flair, Vince McMahon, Gene Okerlund, and others.
