Alberto El Patron stated in an interview run by Mediotiempo.com that he has apologized to Paul “Triple H” Levesque for comments he made about him last year. “I apologized to Triple H in the issues that we (had) when I was with my relationship with my former spouse,” he said “She and her entire family made me believe that those who affected our relationship were them, specifically him.”

El Patron added that he hopes to return to WWE in 2019 before he retires the following year. He said it would be “very difficult” to return in 2018. “But in 2019 before I go, I will definitely do something with them,” said El Patron. “We shook hands and all is well now. Time heals the wounds.” Read more or listen to the interview at Mediotiempo.com [Thanks to Dot Net reader Tyler England]

Powell’s POV: The interview was conducted in Spanish and the translation may not be perfect, but he clearly indicates that he’s apologetic and hopes to return to WWE next year. Impact Wrestling has allowed wrestlers to get out of their deals early to save money and so if that’s the only thing truly standing in the way of El Patron returning then it wouldn’t surprise me if they could work something out. That said, there’s no telling how WWE feels about brining him back.

  1. Talk all that nonsense and then beg for a job. Have some self respect. It’s over, jack.

  2. Great for morale. Cut him lose now. All Impact wrestlers with designs on WWE can go now.

  3. Well, since they brought Paige back in a prominent spot before her re-injury, it doesn’t really feel like WWE is buying into this “I only badmouthed you because of Paige, I have no beef with you of my own, honest!” idea.
