WWE pulls two injured wrestlers from the Royal Rumble matches

By Jason Powell, Prowrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

WWE has pulled Paige and Samoa Joe from the Royal Rumble matches. Paige’s in-ring career is reportedly in jeopardy due to a neck injury. Meanwhile, Samoa Joe suffered a foot injury on last week’s Raw.

Powell’s POV: WWE simply cited a neck injury as the cause for Paige missing the match. They have yet to comment on a report that they will no longer clear her to wrestle in a WWE ring. As for Joe, the company ran a story on the WWE website last week stating that he was believed to have suffered a plantar fascia rupture.
