-WWE Smackdown Live is in Chicago, Illinois at Allstate Arena for the second of back-to-back nights. Join Jake Barnett for live coverage as the show airs on USA Network at 7CT/8ET, and I will be by later tonight with my audio review and again on Wednesday with my WWE Smackdown Hit List.

-The WWE Raw crew is in New York, New York at Madison Square Garden with the following advertised matches: Roman Reigns vs. John Cena for the Intercontinental Championship, Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan vs. Sheamus and Cesaro in a cage match for the Raw Tag Titles, and Braun Strowman vs. Kane.

-The advertised dark main event for tonight’s Smackdown is AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal with Daniel Bryan as special referee. This replaces the previously advertised Mahal vs. Styles vs. Randy Orton vs. Shinsuke Nakamura four-way for the WWE Championship.

Birthdays and Notables

-Dennis Knight is 49. He also wrestled as Mideon, Tex Slazenger, Phineas Godwinn.

-Gorgeous George (George Wagner) died of a heart attack at age 48 on December 26, 1963.

-The late Mark Starr (Mark Ashford-Smith) was born on December 26, 1962. He died of a heart attack at age 50 on June 7, 2013.
