Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown Live scored a 1.86 rating, up from the 1.53 rating the show drew last week. As previously noted, the show averaged 2.603 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.119 million viewers.

Powell’s POV: A big bounce back edition and I continue to wonder how much the company’s decision to announce that there were title changes on Raw and Smackdown had to do with their solid numbers this week. I don’t blame fans who were upset over the text alerts that WWE issued that spoiled the results of those matches, but the numbers suggest that the strategy was successful. It’s also worth noting that last week’s low number was a product of the show airing on Halloween night while also being opposed by a potential deciding game of the World Series. The November 8, 2016 edition of Smackdown delivered a 1.38 rating with 1.921 million viewers.
