Xplosion Tapings

1 .Tyrus over Mahabali Shera.

2. Dezmond Xavier def Braxton Sutter.

3. Idris Abraham vs Drago. Drago wins with an Octopus hold but keeps Idris’ shoulders down in an unique pin.

4. Laurel Van Ness (w/Sienna) beat Ava Storie. Ava had Laurel in a Regal Stretch, but the referee is distracted by Sienna on the apron, which allowed Laurel to eventually hit her Curb Stomp for the win. They both beat Ava after the match, but Allie came down with her Kendo Stick to chase them off.

Impact Tapings (Airing Aug. 3 and August 10).

1. Octagoncito and Andrew Everett beat Demus 3:16 and Davey Richards. Octagoncito wins for his team with a roll up on Demus.

2. Homicide, Ortiz, and Santana beat Alberto El Patron, Dos Caras, and El Hijo Dos Caras. Alberto had Santana in a cross-arm breaker but Ortiz accidentally hit referee Brian Hebner. The rest of LAX tried to interfere but Alberto got the cross-arm breaker again. Low Ki came down and hits The Warriors Way on Alberto. Hebner recovered in time to make the count. LAX and Low Ki left together.

3. Suicide, Grado, and Braxton Sutter (w/Allie) beat KM, Mario Bakara, and Fallah Bahh. They seem to be doing a lot of 6 man or more matches lately, maybe testing for a six-man title? Good action with Grado rolling up KM after Braxton kicked him and Grado went low to get him into the pin. Grado begged Laurel to come out, and she did accompanied by Joseph Park. Before she could answer, Kongo Kong came down and was about to give Grado his top rope splash, but Laurel got in his way, allowing Grado to get out of the ring. Laurel took Kong’s hand and left with him, yet looked back smiling at Grado. I have no idea where this is going. Grado might want to find a new prospect for a wife, IMO.

Out next was the new Grand Champion, EC3. He calls himself “The Grandest Champion Of Them All!” He says it’s a strange time the belt came into his life. He started talking to it like a woman, kissed the belt, and asked if it wants to get out of here? Then he left. Weird stuff!

The Unified Women’s Champion Sienna came down and sits on a chair already in the middle of the ring. She was quiet for awhile and said we are looking at the epitome of a champion: confidence and class. She demanded Karen Jarrett come down to announce who her next opponent will be. Karen’s music hit and she said she’s never liked Sienna and probably never will. Sienna asks who is so special and why is she hiding her? And Sienna’s opponent “next week” will be Gail Kim. Gail said she won’t only beat her, she will retire with the KO’s Title. The two started fighting in and out of the ring before referees finally pulled them apart.

4. Najomri Marufiji and Octagoncito beat Laredo Kid and Garza Jr. A great high flying back and forth match with Marufiji pinning Garza Jr. with Sliced Bread #3(?). The teams shook hands and left together in a nice show of sportsmanship.

5. Kongo Kong beat Grado and Joseph Park in a handicap match. Kong was out by himself and he won a short match with a corner cannonball on Park. Kong attacked Grado and stacked the two of together, and set them both up for a top rope splash. Laurel came out and got in Kong’s face to get him down, and slapped him. Kong picked her up to leave and Tyrus got in his face, but Laurel pulled Kong away and took him to the back by his hand. I don’t understand where this going at all.

6. LAX’s Santana and Ortiz (w/w/Homicide, Dimante, Konnan, and Low Ki) beat “Veterans of War” Wilcox and Mayweather in a non-title street fight. Low Ki has an LAX logo on his suit jacket and It looks good. Crazy match with tables, garbage cans, kendo sticks, and more used. Everyone in LAX interfered. Eventually, Wilcox was kicked and put though a table in the corner.

7. Taiji Ishimori beat ACH in a Super X Cup semifinal match. Ishimori won and will face Idris Dezmond Xavier in the finals.

8. Trevor Lee, Low Ki, and Lashley beat Sonjay Dutt, Matt Sydal, and Alberto El Patron in a six-man tag match. Lo Ki came out to LAX’s theme song. Lashley, Ki, and Lee win when Low Ki pins Sonjay with The Warriors Way. Good match, no stipulations and a clean win by the heels.
