Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown Live scored a 1.92 rating, up from the 1.69 rating the show drew last week. As previously noted, the show averaged 2.714 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.471 million viewers.
Powell’s POV: Smackdown benefitted from the lack of the Olympics as competition. It also topped last year’s post-SummerSlam edition, which delivered a 1.62 rating with 2.195 million viewers on August 27, 2015.
