samoajoe1Samoa Joe spoke with Brian Fritz of Between The Ropes about whether he lost his passion for pro wrestling before he arrived in NXT. “It’s funny, I was asked this earlier, and it was never about a loss of passion, but I can definitely see that point. In different places I was kind of stifled and it was more of a symptom of a larger issue. Even though you’re always responsible for what happens once end up inside the ring, sometimes you just can’t storm up the mountain with a mountain made of gravel. That’s kind of what I was faced with.”

Joe also spoke about his interest in being called up to the WWE main roster. “Time will tell,” Joe said. “Stay tuned. That’s all I’m going to say, man. Let surprises be surprises, let fun be fun.” Check out the full interview at Youtube.com/watch?v=qHTxqqXexac&feature=youtu.be.

Powell’s POV: Joe’s “stay tuned” comment is certainly an interesting teaser. With his loss at NXT Takeover: Dallas, he’s certainly free from a storyline standpoint. The move to the main roster would be tremendous and I realy hope to see it happen, perhaps as soon as Monday night. The interview was conducted prior to the NXT Takeover: Dallas event. Joe also spoke about being able to use the Samoa Joe name in NXT, his debut in NXT, and working with a number of wrestlers.
