The Rock and Mark Wahlberg sued for $200 million

therock1Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and fellow actor and “Ballers” executive producer Mark Wahlberg are among those being sued for $200 million over claims that the HBO series “borrows heavily” from a show called “Off Season” that was created in 2007. Screenwriters Everette Silas and Sherri Littleton filed the lawsuit against the two actors, creator Stephen Levinson, HBO, 7 Bucks Entertainment, and Leverage Management. HBO previously stated that the case has no merit. Read more at LATimes.com.

Powell’s POV: Silas and Littleton presented a list of 27 similarities of “Ballers” and their show, which they actually pitched to Wahlberg in 2009. The legal system will decent whether the case has merit, of course, but $200 million?!?
