WWE star Daniel Bryan announces his retirement

Daniel Bryan (a/k/a Bryan Danielson) announced his retirement via Twitter on Monday. “Due to medical reasons, effective immediately, I am announcing my retirement,” Bryan wrote. “Tonight on Raw, I’ll have a chance to elaborate.” Follow him online at Twitter.com/WWEDanielBryan. Powell’s POV: What a shame. Bryan has been sidelined by a head injury since April 14. He announced that he was cleared by doctors at UCLA, but WWE’s physician Joseph Maroon would not clear him. Hopefully he is at peace with the decision.
