-The WWE Smackdown television taping for Thursday’s television show will be held tonight in Dayton, Ohio at Wright State University’s Nutter Center. The advertised segments include Miz TV with Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens, and Roman Reigns vs. League of Nations.

-TNA Impact airs on Pop TV tonight at 8:00 p.m. CT. EC3 vs. Matt Hardy in a Last Man Standing match for the TNA Title is the main event, and TNA is also advertising Gail Kim vs. Awesome Kong for the TNA Knockouts Title. Join me for live coverage of Impact as the show airs on Pop TV tonight. John Moore will be by on Tuesday with the TNA Impact Wrestling Hit List. Former WWE broadcast team member Jonathan Coachman hosts SportsCenter and runs through several “moments of the week” clips from Raw before conducting an interview with a WWE wrestler. This week’s advertised guests are New Day.

Birthdays and Notables

-Pat Patterson (a/k/a Pierre Clermont) is 75 today. The creative genius and the creator of the Royal Rumble match still works for WWE on a part-time basis.

-Ron “R-Truth” Killings is 44 today. Does this guy age?

-Scott “Bam Bam” Bigelow was died on January 19, 2007 at age 45. Several drugs were found in his system at the time of his death and he was also suffering from a heart problem.
