ROH TV Hits

Kyle O’Reilly vs. Kushida: I sat back to enjoy this match, and it delivered. When you think of what ROH should be all about, this is what I picture – supreme technical wrestling, with logic, and athleticism blended well together. Both men worked body parts, both men sold, and now both men have set themselves up for a tasty rubber match down the road.

Moose vs. Tetsuya Naito: Naito has been MIA for a while on ROH TV, not to my knowledge appearing on the ROH TV shows I’ve watched in ages, but something has definitely changed for the better since he left. Everything from the suit, to his new attitude in the ring, elevated him. Moose didn’t need the loss in this otherwise fun match, but I suspect we’ll be getting a lot of Moose losses in the near future as a jump to NXT looms.

ROH TV Misses

All Night Express vs. Jushin “Thunder” Liger and Cheeseburger: It’s good that the ANX has something to do now, but it seems so random. Their gimmick (or their presumed gimmick based on their name alone) is that of party animals. Now they are wearing suits and protesting? Very odd. And the match wasn’t anything special either, brought down further by the two great matches either side of it.
