WWE Raw on-site report: Seth Rollins vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in a cage match in the dark main event, notes on the popularity of the Street Profits and how the live crowd responded to the Rusev, Lana, and Bobby Lashley angle

Dot Net reader Zach Rogers attended Monday’s WWE Raw in St. Louis, Missouri at Enterprise Center and sent the following report.

-At the start of the show when Paige came out, the crowd was pretty excited. I didn’t know she was appearing tonight so that was a nice surprise. The green mist in her face was also unexpected, and I thought that they would play into it more, but she was simply escorted down the ramp and it wasn’t acknowledged much after that.

-The match between Becky Lynch and Kairi Sane was pretty awesome. The crowd never expected it to be as competitive as it was. I’m not sure if it made it to air, but Becky received a pretty good cut on her elbow that was bleeding a decent amount at about the halfway point of the match.

-The Street Profits were CRAZY over tonight. The “we want the smoke” chants were coming from everyone, and it was great to see how much the crowd liked them.

-Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Jimmy Hart all came to the ring without much fan interaction, but it was definitely awesome to see the legends live and in person.

-Drew McIntyre vs. Ricochet was definitely the match of the night. The impact from Drew’s attacks were very convincing and impressive. I didn’t see Randy Orton coming at all, but the crowd went nuts when he came out and hit that RKO (Randy is from St. Louis, so of course everyone was super excited to see him.)

-Charlotte and Natalya vs. The IIconics was okay for what it was. I’m in the minority here, but Peyton Royce and Billie Kay legit make me laugh, and I enjoyed seeing them tonight.

-Seth Rollins vs Erick Rowan in a Falls Count Anywhere match was pretty fun. I was really hoping for an appearance by The Fiend here, as was everyone around me. When the match ended the way it did, we were all holding our breaths hoping for an attack by Bray, but that was a no go.

-I felt AJ Styles vs. Humberto Carrillo was a good match as well, second only to the Drew vs Ricochet match. Very slick moves by Humberto, and a very crowd pleasing performance. The Street Profits making the save was mega over with the crowd, they definitely love these guys.

-The King’s Divorce Court was so entertaining, especially for something I wasn’t sure about going in. If it wasn’t for the crowd being so against Lana and so in favor of Rusev, it may not have worked. It was so loud in the venue that I couldn’t even hear what Lana was trying to say for a good portion of her speech. Rusev shoving the ring in Bobby Lashley’s mouth got a huge pop as well. Massive boos when Lana and Lashley got the upper hand as well.

-In the dark match for the title between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt in a cage, it was pretty simple. Basically, it was the same as their Hell in a Cell match, minus weapons and the actual Hell in a Cell structure. Rollins hit a bunch of Stomps, and Wyatt constantly got back up. At the end of a very short match, Rollins rolled out by having the referee open the door and won the match. Bray came out after this and applied the Mandible Claw while that screeching noise permeated through the building. The show ended there.
