Powell’s POV: It’s interesting that Ring of Honor is not running this event on the same weekend that WWE will be running SummerSlam in Brooklyn at Barclays Center. The SummerSlam event will be held on August 21, so ROH will be running six days later. For what it’s worth, the Brooklyn Cyclones baseball team is on the road during SummerSlam weekend, so it’s possible that ROH officials made the choice to avoid running opposite WWE’s biggest weekend of the summer.
