AEW Dynamite (Episode 369 – Fright Night)
St. Louis, Missouri, at Chaifetz Arena
Simulcast live October 28, 2026, on TBS and HBO Max
[Hour One] Excalibur, Taz, and Tony Schiavone checked in on commentary from ringside. Kyle Fletcher vs. Jack Perry, Marina Shafir in action, and a Kofi and Austin Creed promo were late lineup additions, along with the opening match…
Ring announcer Justin Roberts delivered the introductions while Jon Moxley and Daniel Garcia entered through the crowd. Jay White and David Finlay were listed as “The Cut” and entered via the stage…
Powell’s POV: White called his new faction The Last Outfit during Saturday’s Collision, but it was changed to The Cut just hours later. By the way, WrestleTix listed tonight’s host venue as being set up for 3,583, with 3,319 tickets distributed. The total number of seats on the map is 9,057. The last time AEW ran the venue, 6,293 tickets were distributed for the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view on October 18, 2025.
1. AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley and Daniel Garcia vs. Jay White and David Finlay. Garcia caught White in a submission hold, but Finlay pulled his partner to the floor. Moxley and Garcia went after White and Finlay at ringside before a picture-in-picture commercial break. [C]
White went for a Blade Runner, but Moxley put him down with a Paradigm Shift. Garcia tagged in, and then he and Moxley hit White with several clotheslines in a corner of the ring before Moxley put him down with a cutter.
Ace Austin showed up on the apron and got the attention of the referee. Wheeler Yuta showed up and hit Austin with a Busaiku Knee. Clark Connors showed up and speared Garcia while the referee was focused on the other two guys who weren’t in the match. White followed up with a Blade Runner and then pinned Garcia.
Jay White and David Finlay defeated Jon Moxley and Daniel Garcia in 13:30.
After the match, Austin Gunn, Colton Gunn, and Juice Robinson showed up to help the other members of The Cut. Claudio Castagnoli arrived and got the better of multiple members of The Cut before performing a Giant Swing on Connors. The Death Riders grabbed chairs and stood tall in the middle of the ring.
Moxley got a microphone and questioned where The Cut members were going because they were just getting started. Moxley challenged The Cut to Anarchy in the Arena at the November 14 Full Gear pay-per-view…
Powell’s POV: Hey, I got it right last week when I said it looked like they set up two Blood & Guts matches for next week and Anarchy in the Arena for Full Gear (blind squirrel, nut). Anyway, you had to assume White and Finlay would win the match since they just joined forces. The Cut didn’t look so great when the Death Riders stood tall afterward, but I wouldn’t be surprised if The Cut wins the Anarchy in the Arena match.
Highlights aired from Collision of Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, and Kris Statlander calling for a Blood & Guts match…
Excalibur hyped Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor vs. Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander for the AEW Tag Team Titles for Full Gear. Excalibur also hyped Kyle Fletcher vs. Jack Perry for after the break… [C] Entrances for the next match took place…
2. Kyle Fletcher vs. Jack Perry. Don Callis sat in on commentary. Fletcher went to ringside and hugged him. Moments later, Perry went to ringside and hugged Taz. Cute. A short time later, Perry got the better of Fletcher on the floor before tossing him back inside the ring. When Perry followed, Fletcher hit him with a running knee strike, which sent him back to the floor. Fletcher performed a PK from the apron before a PIP break. [C]
Late in the match, Perry pulled Fletcher from the ropes with a hurcanrana. Perry jumped from the ropes into a superkick. Fletcher lawn darted Perry into the corner and followed up with a Helluva Kick. Fletcher joined Perry on the ropes and performed a brainbuster onto the middle rope before pinning him.
Kyle Fletcher beat Jack Perry in 16:15.
Mark Davis and Jake Doyle came out and joined Fletcher and Callis inside the ring. Davis and Doyle put Fletcher on their shoulders and held him there while he delivered a promo. Fletcher boasted that he just beat someone who was supposed to be a pillar of the company, and last week he beat a legend in Adam Copeland and the AEW World Champion Will Ospreay (in a tag team match).
Fletcher said Davis and Doyle would become the new AEW Tag Team Champions at Full Gear. Fletcher said he’s beaten Ospreay at Full Gear before, and dared Ospreay to put the AEW World Championship on the line at this year’s Full Gear. Fletcher said he’s the best and he’ll prove it at Full Gear…
Powell’s POV: A good match with the right guy going over, especially with Fletcher challenging for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear.
A Blood & Guts video aired for next week’s Dynamite in Jacksonville…
Renee Paquette stood in the ring and introduced “The New Level” Kofi and Austin Creed, who made their entrance. Once in the ring, Kofi and Creed expressed no interest in the AEW Trios Title match becoming a Texas Death Match. Creed wondered if he had to die, but Kofi said it didn’t work that way.
Kofi said they don’t hate their opponents “that much.” Creed said they “kind of like” Bandido and Brody King. “And we even kinda like Hangman (Page),” Creed said. Creed said they will walk out of Full Gear as the AEW Trios Champions.
An angry Brody King came out and questioned where Bandido was. Creed said they didn’t know where Swerve Strickland was and questioned whether King had something to do with that.
Hangman Page came out and said told King that he doesn’t know what Texas Death does to a person. Page said he lost years of his life when he faced Swerve in a Texas Death Match. Page brought up Bandido and Swerve missing. Page pleaded with King not to give Swerve what he wants, regardless of what happens.
Prince Nana walked onto the stage and motioned to the screen above him. Footage aired on the big screen of a bloody Bandido seated in an undisclosed location with his hair in front of his face. Swerve Strickland walked slowly toward Bandido while holding Bandido’s mask in his hand.
Swerve looked into the camera and said the match at Full Gear wasn’t quite good enough. “You know how this ends,” Swerve said. “Give us the match that I asked for because I’m not going to ask again.” Swerve put the mask over Bandido’s head to end the video.
In the ring, King fumed and wanted to go after Kofi and Creed, but Page pleaded with him not to give Swerve what he wanted. Page said he and King needed to find Swerve. King agreed before they left the ring together… [C]
Powell’s POV: They did a nice job of setting the table for Swerve attempting ot manipulate the others into accepting the Texas Death Match stipulation. I like that Kofi and Creed wanted nothing to do with Texas Death. I wouldn’t mind seeing them stretch this out at least one more week before Swerve gets his way.
[Hour Two] Don Callis stood backstage with Kazuchika Okada, Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Josh Alexander, Mark Davis, and Jake Doyle. Callis talked big about what his men would do at Full Gear. Okada said he knew what Adam Copeland was thinking. “My poor head,” Okada said.
Callis said Steven Borden put his trust in a street urchin. He said Borden would have been better off listening to him rather than Darby Allin. Callis said Alexander would end Darby once and for all. Alexander apparently disagreed. He said the Callis Family would end Darby’s career next week in the Blood & Guts match. Alexander said he would take the TNT Title from Darby…
Excalibur announced that Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher for the AEW World Championship was official for AEW Full Gear…
FTR made their entrance with Stokely Hathaway, who wore a James Brown cape and wig. The Motor City Machine Guns’ entrance followed…
3. “Motor City Machine Guns” Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin vs. “FTR” Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler (w/Stokely Hathaway) in the third match of the best-of-five series. The series was tied 1-1. The Guns were in offensive control heading into an early PIP break. [C]
