Max Caster addresses his single match run with TNA and his controversial pre-match rap

Max Caster has addressed his single match TNA run that ended due to a controversial pre-match rap at Sunday’s Bound For Glory event. Caster took to social media on Tuesday and apologized to TNA President Carlos Silva, the rest of the office, and anyone who vouched for him.

Caster said Silva was “very generous, very professional even after all this stuff happened.” He also said he understood why Silva let him go. “It’s his show, he’s got to protect TNA, and I went too far for him,” Caster said. Caster thanked Moose and said he’s proud of the match they had at Sunday’s Bound For Glory.

“When I do these raps, it’s never to offend people; it’s only to entertain,” said Caster. “So in my mind, it’s entertainment value first. And then if you’re offended by it, that’s your right. So I can’t apologize for anyone being offended, but just know that it’s not my intention to make people upset. If it gets a good reaction, then I think I did my job. It was a very relevant part of the show and highly talked about, so I feel good about that, but the consequences of everything, I’m accepting that.” Check out his full video below or via his Twitter/X page.

Powell’s POV: For those who missed it, Caster’s pre-match rap included the following line: “And it’s the firing squad. I drop bombs. You don’t even have to fly to Riyadh.” Caster added in his video that he’s doing well but is embarrassed by how this happened. “You don’t want it to be one match, and that’s it, you get fired, but again, that’s the reality of the situation, and I’m accepting it.”

It’s good that Caster addressed the incident and was professional while discussing TNA management. The problem is that while he may not mean to offend, his raps led to some problems in AEW and now cost him a job in TNA. Never say never, but it’s hard to imagine WWE doing business with him given the company’s business ties to Saudi Arabia.
