Limitless Wrestling “11th Anniversary Weekend – Night Two”

Night one also streamed live and free on their YouTube channel. This is a dark theater. The ring was lit okay, but it’s certainly not ideal. Once again, “Top Shelf” Troy Nelson and Johnny Torres provided commentary. Google Maps shows that Yarmouth (where Saturday’s show was held) and Portland are only a 16-minute drive apart.
* All the wrestlers came to ringside for a tribute to “The Butcher” Andy Williams. Ring announcer Rich Palladino noted that Andy had wrestled here many times. “Andy had the biggest, kindest, sweetest heart,” Palladino said. There was the 10-bell salute and a moment of silence for him.
1. Rudy Lockheart vs. Seabass Finn. Lockheart looks like he stepped off the set of a movie set in 1981; he’s very cartoonish. At most, I’ve seen him twice before. Finn won the “Lucky Eleven Gauntlet” on Saturday’s show. Standing switches, and they traded offense in a knuckle lock. Rudy hit a headscissors takedown at 2:30. They traded chops. Basic back-and-forth action, and Finn hit a powerbomb from his shoulders for a nearfall at 6:30. Lockheart hit a Code Red for a nearfall. Finn locked in a Sharpshooter, and Lockheart tapped out. Okay.
Seabass Finn defeated Rudy Lockheart at 7:27.
2. B3cca (w/The Shooter Boys) vs. Bobby Orlando. She rolled to the floor at the bell. Bobby grabbed the mic and said she sang a song, he was going to sing. He changed the lyrics of “Hot Bod” and sang about himself. She jumped in the ring and attacked him, and we’re underway! Bobby hit a flapjack at 2:00, and she rolled to the floor. Bobby set up for the dive, but Anthony Vecchio and Aaron Ortiz got between them. She attacked him and beat him up on the floor, then threw him back into the ring. The Boys choked Orlando in the ropes.
Cagematch.net records show they’ve shared the ring three times before, and Orlando is 1-0 in singles matches. He hit a shotgun dropkick at 4:30. Bobby dove through the ropes onto all three heels. In the ring, he hit a Blue Thunder Bomb for a nearfall. She hit a leaping Flatliner, then a springboard fadeaway stunner for a nearfall at 6:00. Bobby hit a running neckbreaker and a Death Valley Driver. Orlando went to the top rope, but the Shooter Boys tripped him, and he fell to the mat. B3cca rolled him up, flipped her body over on top for added pressure, and scored the pin!
B3cca defeated Bobby Orlando at 7:10.
* “The Breadwinners” Cash McGuiness and Patrick Wheatman came to the ring. These scrawny kids just won’t go away. They talked on the mic. The Chicago-area strongman Bruss Hamilton came to the ring and challenged them!
3. “The Breadwinners” Cash McGuiness and Patrick Wheatman vs. Bruss Hamilton in a handicap match. The Breadwinners tried team Polish Hammers, but Bruss knocked them down with a double clothesline. Cash went for a pin, but Bruss easily threw him off. Bruss slammed redhead Wheatman, and he hit a back-body drop that sent Cash over the top rope, with his back hitting the edge of the ring frame! OUCH! Bruss held Wheatman upside-down and applied a chokehold, and Wheatman frantically tapped out.
Bruss Hamilton defeated “The Breadwinners” Patrick Wheatman and Cash McGuinness at 2:07.
* Anthony Greene came to the ring wearing a suit, and he read a statement while inducting Ace Romero into the Limitless Hall of Fame. (There were two ceremonies on Saturday’s show.) Romero gave a speech, Greene presented him with a plaque, and they hugged. Ace asked Greene to team with him to take on the Shooter Boys later! (I hope he brought his gear! He’s in a nice suit!)
Sidney Bakabella came to the ring in his wrestling robe. He told Greene, “I love you like a son,” but then added, “Go to the back. We have business.” Greene was hesitant to do so, but he eventually left. Sidney was irate, complaining that he also wasn’t inducted. He challenged “any hall of famer” to a match. Ace called out… Tony Atlas! A commentator shouted, “It’s the rematch of the century!”
4. Sidney Bakabella vs. Tony Atlas. I’ve seen these two fight twice now. I genuinely don’t want to see Atlas wrestle anymore. Sidney attacked as Tony stepped through the ropes. They traded punches. Atlas applied a standing sleeper. The ref checked Bakabella; his arm fell three times, and the ref called for the bell. At least Tony never left his feet. Atlas moves to 3-0 in singles matches against Bakabella, and I genuinely hope they don’t have No. 4.

5. 23 Hazard and “Simply The Best” Brett Ryan Gosselin and Oxx Adams vs. “MSP” Aiden Aggro, Daphne Deville, and Alexander Lee. The commentators talked about Oxx’s weight loss and how it’s made him more dangerous. Again, he’s fairly comparable to Brody King and just stood toe-to-toe with Brian Cage recently in an AEW/ROH taping. We got the bell and all six brawled. BRG hit some chops on Lee in the ring while the other four brawled on the floor. BRG dove through the ropes onto everyone at 1:00. Lee hit a Trustfall Dive off the top turnbuckle onto everyone on the floor.
Aggro and Daphne hit some team offense on BRG, and Lee covered Brett for a nearfall at 3:00. From the apron, Oxx grabbed Aiden and threw him into a turnbuckle. It allowed the heels to attack Daphne. DeVille finally hit a running knee on BRG at 7:00, and they were both down. Aggro got a hot tag, and he hit a Helluva Kick on Brett, then a Falcon Arrow for a nearfall. Brett grabbed a fork, and he repeatedly stabbed Lee in the forehead.
23 Hazard hit Aggro with a chain, but J-Heru jumped in and confiscated the chain. The ref saw J-Heru with the chain and ejected him. The MSP trio took turns hitting Oxx in a corner. Daphne hit a stunner on the big man, then a Swanton Bomb for a one-count at 11:00. 23 Hazard hit a Hidden Blade forearm to the back of Lee’s head for the pin! Okay match with a surprising finish. Fans pelted the heels with crumpled-up paper.
23 Hazard and “Simply The Best” Brett Ryan Gosselin and Oxx Adams defeated “MSP” Aiden Aggro, Daphne Deville, and Alexander Lee at 11:56.
* Intermission lasted about 20 minutes.
6. Joseph “A-Game” Alexander vs. Lee Moriarty. Lee wore the ROH Pure Title belt to the ring, but this was a non-title match. The bell rang, and they shook hands before locking up. Standing switches, and they traded reversals on the mat. They twisted each other’s left arm, and this crowd was appreciative and into this mat-based offense. They sped it up at 3:00 with A-Game hitting some armdrags. Lee snapped the left arm across the top rope! Moriarty immediately began targeting the damaged left arm. He hit a snap Northern Lights Suplex for a nearfall.
Lee applied a hammerlock on the mat, and he stretched A-Game. A-Game dove over the ropes onto Lee. In the ring, he hit a flying forearm in the corner, then a big hip-toss for a nearfall at 8:00. A-Game hit a Go To Sleep for a nearfall. Lee again snapped the arm and hit a Divorce Court armbreaker for a nearfall at 9:30. Lee locked in the Border City Stretch, and the commentators gave Alex Shelley a shout-out for the move. They got up, and A-Game hit a hard clothesline, then his running knee for a nearfall at 11:00, but Moriarty grabbed the ropes.
Lee hit some spin kicks to the ribs. A-Game hit a spinning back fist. Lee hit an enzuigiri and a Saito Suplex. A-Game hit a suplex and some kicks. Lee got a modified O’Connor Roll and bridged up to make sure his own shoulders were up and got the pin. A sharp match with a really strong final two minutes. A-Game looked dejected (and the commentators used the same word as I wrote it), but he got up and shook Moriarty’s hand. I loved that one.
Lee Moriarty defeated Joseph “A-Game” Alexander at 12:11.
7. “The Shooter Boys” Aaron Ortiz and Anthony Vecchio (w/B3cca) vs. Ace Romero and Anthony Greene. Yes, international pop star B3cca sang “Hot Bod” for us a second time. It looked like we were going to have a handicap match, as Ace came out solo, but Greene eventually joined him! AG hit a top-rope crossbody block onto the Boys, and we’re underway! Romero hit splashes in opposite corners on the Boys, then a big senton on Vecchio. B3cca hopped on the apron and threw her big boots at Romero.
Ace went for a rolling cannonball on Vecchio, but B3cca and Ortiz pulled Anthony out of the way. The Shooter Boys began working over Romero in their corner. Ace hit a double suplex at 3:30. Greene got a hot tag, and he hit some back elbows. He hit a running neckbreaker on Vecchio, then he flipped Ortiz onto Vecchio. Ortiz hit a German Suplex with a high bridge on AG for a nearfall at 5:00. Ace jumped in and hit chops on both heels. Vecchio hit a pop-up powerbomb, and Ortiz hit a Falcon Arrow on AG for a nearfall.
Vecchio whipped Greene into the corner, but AG hit a superkick, then a top-rope twisting superplex at 6:30. Ace hit a back-body drop. He powerbombed Vecchio onto Ortiz in the corner, then hit his rolling cannonball onto both of them! He set up for a dive, but B3cca jumped into the ring and pleaded for him to stop! She slapped him. He hit a Pounce that sent her flying at 8:30, earning a “Holy shit!” chant. Ace then dove through the ropes onto The Boys! In the ring, Ace hit a package piledriver on Ortiz. They then hit a team powerbomb move to pin Ortiz. Fun match. That felt longer than it was.
Ace Romero and Anthony Greene defeated “The Shooter Boys” Aaron Ortiz and Anthony Vecchio at 9:18.
* Ace Romero’s mom got in the ring and celebrated with Ace and Greene. The commentators said she never misses shows and has been at some when Ace wasn’t around.
8. Joseph Sawyer vs. Channing Thomas (w/Sidney Bakabella). Sawyer, formerly known as Joe Gacy, competed two days earlier in Los Angeles for HOG. Sidney was selling neck pain from that brutal match he had with a 72-year-old man an hour earlier. A clean lockup at the bell. The commentators noted that Sidney stressed that Channing needs to ‘out-wrestle’ Sawyer and not get into a brawl with him. Sawyer hit a bodyslam at 2:30. Sawyer basically hit a bodyslam over the top rope, with Channing crashing onto a thin mat at ringside!
Sawyer followed him to the floor, and they brawled. They looped ringside, and Sawyer hit some chops. They got back into the ring at 5:00, but Sidney grabbed Sawyer’s ankle. However, Joseph broke free, and he rammed Channing’s head into all four top turnbuckles, then hit a delayed vertical suplex for a nearfall. Channing hit a flying knee drop to the sternum for a nearfall, then a clothesline into the corner and a standing neckbreaker for a nearfall at 7:00. Channing choked Sawyer in the ropes, and Sidney did, too.
Sawyer hit a back suplex, and they were both down at 10:30. They brawled some more, and Joseph hit a dropkick and clotheslines into the corner, then a swinging uranage for a nearfall. Channing hit a dropkick and a fisherman’s suplex for a nearfall at 13:00. Joseph hit a handspring-back-clothesline for a nearfall, and we got a “This is awesome!” chant. Sidney got in the ring, but Sawyer yanked off Sidney’s wig so we could get a “Bald!” chant. Sawyer hit the Sister Abigail swinging faceplant for the pin! Fun match.
Joseph Sawyer defeated Channing Thomas at 15:11.
9. Gabby Forza vs. Aaron Rourke in a street fight for the Limitless Title. They traded armdrags, and Aaron jawed at her. She tied up his left arm. (I’ll point out that Bear Bronson is still at the CZW death match tournament, so he’s not here.) She bodyslammed Rourke. He clocked her with a forearm strike to the jaw at 2:30, but she hit a hip-toss and a splash in the corner, then another hip-toss. She hit a Samoan Drop and a senton for a nearfall. They went to the floor, and Gabby held Aaron’s arms back, allowing some fans to chop him.
Aaron removed some wrist tape and choked her with it at 4:30. The commentators reminded us this was all legal. Gabby slammed him onto the apron. In the ring, she hit a senton for a nearfall. She swung a chair and missed. Aaron hit a running kick to her jaw at 6:00. He hit some knee drops to her gut as she was tied in the ropes and got a nearfall. Rourke hit a Lungblower to her back at 8:30. He did a forward handspring and hit a forearm strike. Gabby hit a second-rope superplex, and they were both down.
Gabby hit a powerslam. She hit a series of forearm strikes in the corner, then a Bulldog Powerslam for a nearfall at 12:00. The crowd was fully behind her. Aaron hit a Lethal Injection. Gabby got him up for a Torture Rack and spun him into a powerbomb for a nearfall. Aaron hit a superkick. Rourke hit a Frankensteiner for a nearfall at 14:30. He put her on his shoulders, as if going for an Electric Chair, but he slammed her face-first. Rourke repeatedly slammed her face into the canvas.
Rourke leapt off the ropes, but she caught him with a spear! She hit a Jackhammer for a nearfall at 17:00. They got up and traded forearm strikes. He hit a superkick. She hit another spear, then she dove through the ropes onto him at 19:30. Rourke hit a Lungblower to her back and applied a Crossface on the mat at 21:00. She got to the ropes (which don’t break the hold!), but she was able to pull them both to the floor. They again brawled at ringside. Rourke got the mic. He yelled in her face as she was lying on the mat, asking why she won’t just stay down!
Forza refused, so he superkicked her! He grabbed the title belt. She dared him to strike her with it. He dropped the belt. She got a rollup, but he hit a running knee, then a split-legged moonsault for a nearfall at 25:00. He grabbed a chair and wedged it into a corner. He grabbed her by his hair and shouted that he needed to teach her a lesson. However, she slammed him face-first into the chair wedged in the corner. She grabbed the chair and repeatedly struck him across the back. She grabbed the title belt and whipped him with it. She hit one more spear, then the Fire Thunder Driver for the pin! That was a blast.
Gabby Forza defeated Aaron Rourke in a street fight to retain the Limitless Title at 26:53.
* Rourke snatched the title belt away from her, but then put it around her waist. He went to leave, but she grabbed him and hugged him. A perfect ending.
Final Thoughts: A really strong main event with plenty of drama. This feud had been going for months, dating back to Gabby tossing him from a Rumble match. Some really good drama. Aaron is such a great performer — not just a wrestler but an incredible storyteller. When I think of why so many men in the WWE PC fail… it’s because they can’t tell a story like this one.
Moriarty vs. A-Game takes second, with Sawyer-Channing third. Nothing bad in the first half, but ultimately, nothing really worth going out of your way to see, either. Bruss vs. the Breadwinners was exactly what this match should have been — the bigger guy dominated them and won quickly. (Wrestling Open inexplicably put these scrawny kids in a main event that went 16 minutes on Thursday.)
