1FW (One Fall Wrestling) “Summer Stage 2 – Episode 49”
Taped July 17, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia, at Center Stage
Released weekly via TrillerTV+and MyAEW.com

* This is QT Marshall’s promotion. They use a lot of ROH talent, plus enhancement wrestlers like Angelica Risk and Varys Morales, who have competed on AEW/ROH TV several times.

Brendan Benefield, Conrad Thompson, and “Road Dogg” Brian James provided commentary.

1. Jay Lethal (w/Hyena Hera) vs. Jonathan Gresham. The commentators noted these two held the ROH Tag Titles together. They shook hands at the bell and got into a knuckle lock and traded standing reversals. Gresham collapsed and claimed that Hera tripped him — she didn’t! — and the ref ejected her at 3:00! Gresham tied up Lethal as we went to a commercial. [C]

Gresham tied up both arms and pulled back on the right leg until he got a rollup. They got up, and Gresham hit some chops. Lethal hit a hard chop that dropped Gresham at 7:00. After both men attempted suplexes, Gresham finally hit one, and they were both down at 9:00. Jonathan kicked out Lethal’s left elbow and hit some chops. Lethal clasped his hands behind his back to allow Gresham to chop him, but Jonathan hit a low-blow tap with the back of his hands. Gresham hit a German Suplex at 11:00. [C]

Back from the break, Jay hit the “Lethal Combination” backbreaker-and-faceplant. Jay hit a stunner and a top-rope elbow drop, but Gresham rolled him over and got a nearfall. They traded kicks, and Jay hit the Lethal Injection for a nearfall. He hit another top-rope elbow drop for a nearfall. He switched to a Figure Four at 13:00. Gresham was in it for about two minutes before he finally tapped out.

Jay Lethal defeated Jonathan Gresham at 14:43.

* Backstage, Angelica Risk showed off her women’s title. Shotzi Blackheart is coming to Center Stage to challenge her for the belt! Risk proclaimed she’s the best ever. Hyena Hera walked up and reminded Risk that she helped her retain the belt in a recent cage match. Hera wants a title shot!

2. Varys Morales vs. Adam Priest vs. Satnam Singh vs. Tyler Shoop vs. Shawn Dean vs. Chad Skywalker vs. Parker Li in a ladder match for the Breakout Title. Vary, the champion, came out last. I’ve only seen Shoop a few times, but he’s one of the more talented guys here. His hair and overall look are comparable to Buddy Matthews. I’ve not seen Chad Skywalker before; he’s a bald, Black man. Parker Li is a male stripper gimmick, and he got quite the pop from the women as he danced and gyrated his way into the ring. When Adam Priest came out, Road Dogg made the Jaime Noble comparison. The commentators wondered if Satnam even needed a ladder to pull down the strap.

The commentators noted Morales has held the belt for a full year. The belt was raised, and all seven immediately brawled. Satnam hit some loud chops. Vary tried to climb the ladder, but Satnam easily pulled him off it. Satnam stomped on the ladder and destroyed it! Priest and Shoop tried to climb a different ladder, but Satnam pulled them off it, too. Priest hit a chop block to Satnam’s knee and a dropkick to knock Singh down! Priest tried a dive to the floor, but Singh caught him at 2:00. Parker dove onto both of them. Dean dove onto several guys.

The ladder was leaning against the ropes; Skywalker ran up it and dove onto everyone. Vary climbed the ladder and dove onto everyone on the floor, and we got a “This is awesome!” chant. In the ring, Parker hit a Lionsault but struck the ladder. Parker and Skywalker did some ‘finger gun’ humor. Shoop slammed Li onto a horizontal ladder. [C]

Skywalker missed a moonsault, and Shoop immediately hit a DVD on Chad. Dean hit a DDT on Skywalker at 5:30. Dean hit a Bronco Buster on Shoop, then one on Skywalker. Parker leapt off the ladder and hit a DDT. Priest hit a piledriver on Li. Adam went under the ring and got a table and set it up on the floor. He got a chair and repeatedly struck Satnam across the back! Li hit a chairshot to Priest’s back. Skywalker climbed the ladder and got his fingers on the belt, but Shoop slammed him to the mat at 8:00.

Parker climbed the ladder, but Varys leapt off the top turnbuckle and hit a huracanrana! Satnam grabbed Varys and chokeslammed him over the top rope and through the table on the floor! Everyone else hit some superkicks on Satnam. “They should just tie him down, like Gulliver’s Travels,” a commentator said. They put the ladder OVER Satnam, and two guys tried to climb it. Chad got his fingers on the belt, but Shoop powerbombed him to the mat. Shoop then climbed the ladder and pulled down the belt! New champion!

Tyler Shoop defeated Varys Morales, Satnam Singh, Adam Priest, Shawn Dean, Chad Skywalker, and Li Parker in a ladder match to win the 1FW Breakout Title at 10:55.

* Next week will be Shotzi vs. Hyena vs. Angelica, plus the Frat House in action.

Final Thoughts: An entertaining ladder match. Satnam never tried climbing a ladder — it probably would have buckled! — but it was fun having him in there and playing ‘defense,’ keeping others from trying to climb. That chokeslam on Varys through the table was pretty awesome. Shoop has impressed me on past shows — I recall he even went up to Wrestling Open in Massachusetts before. He’s a good choice to carry this belt.

The opener was fine. As with nearly all of Gresham’s matches, you could skip the first five minutes and feel like you really didn’t miss a thing. I watched this on MyAEW, as they have the 10-second fast-forward button, which was nice for skipping over commercials. 1FW returns to action for their next TV taping on September 27 at the DCO 1FW Arena.
