-The WWE Royal Rumble event takes place on Sunday in Orlando, Florida at Amway Center. The event is headlined by the Royal Rumble match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Join me for live coverage beginning with the Kickoff Show on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. CT. -Evolve 53 takes place tonight in Ybor City, Florida at The Orpheum. The event features the first round of the tournament to crown the promotion’s first tag team champions.
-Ring of Honor cancelled the event that was scheduled for tonight in Fletcher, North Carolina at the Ag Center due to a winter storm warning. Saturday’s event is scheduled to take place as advertised.
-WWE is in Fort Myers, Florida at Germain Arena on Saturday with the following advertised matches: Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Title. What will happen to the Rumble if Sheamus wins the belt here?!? Okay, never mind. WWE is also advertising Chris Jericho, Alberto Del Rio, Bray Wyatt, Kane, The Uso Brothers, and New Day for what is billed as a Supershow.
-Ring of Honor is taping television in Duluth, Georgia at Infinite Energy Center on Saturday with War Machine vs. Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson for the ROH Tag Titles, Jay Lethal vs. Matt Jackson for the ROH Title, and Roderick Strong vs. Nick Jackson for the ROH TV Title. This may be the last appearance for Gallows and Anderson given all the buzz over them negotiating with WWE. Plus, it’s a fun lineup with the Young Bucks getting singles title shots.
-Evolve 54 is Orlando, Florida at Orlando Downtown Recreation Complex on Saturday night with the continuation of their tag team tournament. Plus, NXT general manager William Regal will appear in an non-televised segment, and Chad Gable and Jason Jordan will appear in a VIP autograph session prior to the show.
-Evolve 55 is Orlando, Florida at Orlando Downtown Recreation Complex on Sunday afternoon with the finals of the tag tournament. All three Evolve shows will be available on iPPV at WWNLive.com.

-Tully Blanchard is 62 today.
-Jerry Blackwell died on January 22, 1995 due to complications from injuries suffered in a car accident. I grew up watching Blackwell in the AWA promotion and he was a phenomenal talent.
