By Chris Vetter, ProWrestling.net Contributor (@chrisvetter73)

WXW “Extreme Wrestling Party”
September 25, 2026, in Oberhausen, Germany, at Turbinenhalle 1
Released October 8, 2026, on the IndependentWrestling.TV

This show was released Thursday on IWTV, along with a few other wXw shows from that weekend.

* This venue has great lighting, and overall production is top-notch. (If you haven’t seen wXw before, you will be impressed.) Attendance is 350-400. The ring announcer spoke in German, but Dave Bradshaw and heel wrestler Norman Harras provided English commentary. ALSO, I love that they have a match clock in the lower left corner of the screen (which was really nice for a long main event).

* Robin Christopher Fohrwerk came out; he’s in a wheelchair. Fohrwerk and his minions wore white T-shirts with black ties. (Is WWE’s Right to Censor back?) Yes, they are clearly spoofing RTC.

1. Marc Empire and Robert Dreissker vs. Anita Vaughan and Safire Reed. I’ve compared Empire to former ROH wrestler Michael Elgin. Dreissker is even bigger. I think highly of Vaughan and Reed, but it’s hard to imagine them going toe-to-toe with these guys in a legit fight. The women wore “Blue World Order” style shirts. This match is clearly going to be comedy. The women hit superkicks, and they all brawled at ringside.

In the ring, the guys hit clotheslines at 2:00. The Blue Meanie (or is that just someone dressed like the Blue Meanie?) came out and sprayed Fohrwerk with a water gun. The hefty Dreissker threw this Blue Meanie into the ring and beat him up. Blue Meanie hit a Vader Bomb. Vaughan dropped Reed onto Empire. They both covered him for the pin. Okay comedy. The guys continued to attack the women after they lost.

Anita Vaughan and Safire Reed defeated  Marc Empire and Robert Dreissker at 5:41.

* The lights went out and Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” played. Yes, Nick Schreier and Lawrence Roman came out, dressed like Sandman. (I’ve seen Schreier do this tribute to Sandman before.) It took them a while to get into the ring, and they hit White Russian Leg Sweeps (using kendo sticks across the throat) on the heels. They then celebrated with the BWO women.

2. Leedz Lewis vs. Kuro. French indy star Lewis spent about two months on a U.S. tour this summer; he’s comparable to Mike Bailey. Kuro is a tall Black man; I’ve noted he’s comparable to Ricky Sosa but a bit shorter. They locked up, and Kuro still has a big size advantage. Leedz hit a spin kick to the jaw at 1:30, so Kuro rolled to the floor. Leedz hit a corner moonsault to the floor, and he dove through the ropes onto Kuro. In the ring, Kuro hit a decapitating clothesline and a Mafia Kick for a nearfall.

Kuro hit a snap suplex into the turnbuckles at 3:30. Kuro hit some flying kicks into the corner on Leedz, but Lewis also caught Kuro with a flying kick. Lewis hit a bulldog for a nearfall. Kuro hit a Claymore Kick for a nearfall at 5:30. “This one is living up to the hype,” a commentator said. Leedz hit a mid-ring Spanish Fly, then a corkscrew moonsault press to the floor! Nice! Leedz hit a springboard Canadian Destroyer back in the ring for a nearfall at 7:00.

Leedz went for his split-legged corkscrew moonsault, but Kuro got his knees up to block it. Leedz hit a Pele Kick, but Kuro hit a suplex. Leedz hit a German Suplex, but Kuro hit a double stomp to the back of the head! Leedz hit a StunDog Millionaire at 8:30! Kuro immediately hit a modified Tombstone Piledriver and a short-arm clothesline for the pin. That was really sharp for the time given. “Do you believe the hype?” Bradshaw asked.

Kuro defeated Leedz Lewis at 8:52.

* Some comedy skits aired of a 24/7 title belt changing hands multiple times in a hotel room and hallway.

3. Kanji vs. Katsuya Murashima in an intergender match. Katsuya has great upside, and I’m eager to see him return to NJPW. Kanji is thin; she’s giving up a lot of size to him. They locked up, but Katsuya easily tossed her aside. Kanji hit a series of Mafia Kicks, but he barely moved; Katsuya dropped her with a shoulder tackle. He hit a hard chop that again dropped her to the mat at 2:30, and he hip-tossed her across the ring. She hit some stiff kicks to the spine and a basement dropkick to the back at 4:00.

Kanji went for a German Suplex, but Murashima blocked it. She hit a series of clotheslines and a Mafia Kick, but he again blocked a German Suplex. Murashima scooped her up and hit a bodyslam at 6:30 and was booed. He went to the top rope, but she pulled him to the mat, and she got a flash rollup, leaning back for added pressure, for the pin!

Kanji defeated Katsuya Murashima at 6:47.

* More skits for the 24/7 title aired… and Steph De Lander won it last. She headed to the ring and cut a heel promo, and she hates this place!

4. Steph De Lander vs. Killer Kelly in a falls count anywhere match for the wXw Hardcore Title. Kelly took off her jacket and whipped Steph with it. She hit a running Penalty Kick on the apron, and she went for a cover on the floor! Steph hit a suplex onto the rows of hard, plastic bucket chairs. They got into the ring, where Kelly hit a drop-toe-hold onto an open chair and a clothesline for a nearfall at 2:00. Kelly (softly) powerbombed Steph onto some open chairs; the crowd booed, for what I presume was because the move was too protected! Steph hit a much harder slam onto the chairs.

They fought again to the floor at 4:30 and went through the building and over to a bar! They brawled onto the entrance stage, where Kelly hit a DDT for a nearfall at 6:00. They got back into the ring and swung chairs at each other. Kelly hit a basement dropkick in the corner on a chair over SDL’s body for a nearfall at 8:00. Steph hit a chairshot across the back. Steph hit a superplex through a table for a nearfall!  A woman got in the ring and hit a running dropkick on Steph, then a huracanrana. I don’t know who she is. Kelly hit a rolling DVD and pinned SDL.

Killer Kelly defeated Steph De Lander in a falls count anywhere match to win the wXw Hardcore Title at 10:09.

5. “CSI” Luca de Leone and Nordino vs. “Sinner and Saint” Judas Icarus and Travis Williams for the wXw Tag Team titles. My first time seeing the tag champs, who are doing an over-the-top Italian stereotype gimmick. Judas opened against the bald Nordino, and Judas immediately stomped on him. Luca, who has short, wavy black hair, entered. Travis pulled Luca to the floor. In the ring, the champs hit a team suplex on Judas for a one-count at 3:30.

Sinner and Saint began working over Nordino and kept him grounded. The commentators noted it was past midnight local time, as there was a different show earlier in the evening I already reviewed. They pushed Nordino to the floor, where Judas stomped on him at 7:00. In the ring, Icarus got a nearfall. Luca finally got the hot tag, and he hit a flying back elbow on Travis at 8:30. He hit a Lungblower to Travis’s back for a nearfall.

Travis got a rollup with a handful of tights for a nearfall at 10:00. Travis hit a brainbuster, and Judas made the cover for a believable nearfall! Luca hit a swinging neckbreaker, then a back-body drop. Nordino hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker over his knee on Travis at 12:00. Luca hit an elbow drop. The champs kissed Travis on his cheeks and hit a team back suplex move to pin him. Good action.

“CSI” Luca de Leone and Nordino defeated “Sinner and Saint” Judas Icarus and Travis Williams to retain the wXw Tag Team Titles at 12:54.

6. Zoltan vs. Myron Reed. I’ve seen Zoltan a few times, and he’s like a taller Nick Wayne — he’s young but really talented. Standing switches to open and an extended feeling-out process. Zoltan went for a dive, but Reed hit a stunner in the ropes at 4:00. Myron hit a kip-up enzuiigiri and a slingshot back suplex for a nearfall. They traded forearm strikes; the commentators noted it had gotten more heated than when the match started. Zoltan hit a running knee to the chest at 6:00.  They got up and traded forearm strikes. Zoltan missed a Mamba Splash, but he hit a splash to the mat for a nearfall at 8:00.

Zoltan hit a corner fadeaway stunner (a Wayne’s World!) for a nearfall. He hit a swinging uranage for a nearfall. He went for another corner fadeaway stunner, but Reed kicked him in the back. Reed missed a 450 Splash, but he got a rollup for a nearfall at 10:30. Myron placed Zoltan’s feet on the ropes and hit a Flatliner for a nearfall. Zoltan hit a second corner fadeaway stunner. He flew off the ropes, but Reed tried to catch his head for a stunner (they didn’t quite connect the move). Reed flew over the corner post and crashed onto Zoltan. In the ring, Reed hit the top-rope 450 Splash for the pin! Good action.

Myron Reed defeated Zoltan at 12:15.

7. Ahura vs. Joey Janela in a no-DQ match for the wXw Unified World Wrestling Title. This is the main event, but nearly 50 minutes were remaining on the show. I’ve seen my share of lengthy Janela matches, and they typically start slow. Thus, I’m jumping in at the 20:00 mark. There were several chairs in the ring, and Joey hit a suplex onto an open chair. Janela had a cut on his forehead and was bleeding. Ahura hit a DVD onto an open chair. Joey hit a Dragon Suplex at 22:30. Ahura set up a table on the floor, but Joey threw a chair onto him, nearly striking fans seated nearby. (That is just unacceptable.) Ahura hit a DDT onto the ring apron at 26:00.

Ahura hit a twisting dive to the floor. In the ring, Janela hit a piledriver, then a top-rope double stomp to Ahura’s gut as Ahura was lying on a table at 30:00. Janela put the table debris over Ahura’s body and hit another top-rope double stomp for another nearfall. Janela grabbed the title belt and struck Ahura across his forehead and got a nearfall at 31:30. Joey rolled to the floor and threw some chairs into the ring. Ahura hit a second-rope piledriver across two open chairs for a nearfall at 34:30, and they were both down. They got up and traded chops. They started throwing chairs at each other. Gross. Janela hit a suplex onto an open chair, but Ahura hit a brainbuster onto an open chair for a nearfall at 36:30. Janela hit a DVD across an open chair for a nearfall. Ahura put Joey on his shoulders and hit a spinning Stormbreaker for the pin.

Ahura defeated Joey Janela at 38:38.

* Myron Reed ran to the ring and attacked Ahura, and he posed with the belt!

Final Thoughts: I nearly stopped the show as the first match concluded; if the whole show was going to be comedy stuff like that opener, I was bowing out. (Yes, I thought that little of the first match that I nearly quit. There is plenty of other wrestling out there I can watch.) But this turned into a really fun show. I’ll go with Reed-Zoltan for best, Kuro-Leedz was really sharp while it lasted and takes second, and the Sinner and Saint match takes third.

I have no regrets over watching only half of the main event. Hardcore matches aren’t my style anyway, but I also am bothered by seeing all those thrown chairs and the chairshots to the head. I am hit-or-miss on Janela’s matches, and watching him not only kick out of big moves, but then refusing to sell the impact of that move, has always bothered me. So, skip the first match unless that’s your brand of comedy, but watch the rest.
