WWE Friday Night Smackdown finished with 2.877 million viewers for Fox, according to Showbuzzdaily.com. The number was down from the 2.899 million overnight count that came out on Saturday. Last week’s Smackdown premiere on Fox delivered 3.888 million viewers.

Powell’s POV: Smackdown lost over one million viewers in a week. A decline was expected given that the first episode was heavily hyped and featured an appearance by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The good news is that Smackdown topped all Friday night network shows with more than double the viewership share from the 18-49 male demographic.
